She does not lie if she doesn't like something. The thing is, she _will_ try everything and probably _will_ like a dish served to her. So it's hard to tell. But the burger in a can was terrible. The nutraloaf and the clay cookies were both pretty bad, but the people who made those didn't expect them to be good. The burger in a can however was not good and the only excuse is that it comes in a can. Also she doesn't like the texture of bananas. The flavor is fine though.

Ahhh this helped me a lot with making this dessert! adding little amounts of rose oil, strawberry oil, etc helps the flavor. A great jello substitute for vegetarians, as agar is made from algae. I did learn you need to eat this stuff quick, it dissolves kind of quick.

He has always spoken very clear and precise, and to most people, come off as being rude. I am forever trying to teach him how to change the way he speaks to others because of that. I cannot tell you how many times a day he will say something that seems rude or sarcastic. And when I tell him that's inappropriate, or was rude/sarcastic - and he will tell me every time that he didn't mean it in that way. I thought he was lying because he knows what he's saying, so how can he not know that it's rude/sarcastic. I have been so frustrated for years with this issue. But after reading your comment, you have cleared things up for me like you would not believe. All this time, I just thought he was ill-mannered, and was copying the way that I spoke (I'm a very outspoken person and I do not sugarcoat anything)... and I felt like I had inadvertently taught my son how to be a smartass. I felt like I was a bad parent, I really did. I am in tears right now ... you have no idea what you've done for me. With all the research I have done over the years, this type of behavior was never really explained the way you so clearly and easily explained it in your comment, so I didn't know it was an aspie trait. Now I know he wasn't purposely trying to be a mouthy kid. I have a lot of apologizing to do to him tonight. There's a similar kind of translucent mochi called warabi-mochi. It's made from the warabi plant and it's got a really smooth texture with a nice chew to it. Never seen it stateside so I think it would be a cool dish to look into! Kuro mitsu is basically blackstrap molasses sauce btw! You can add some brown sugar to adjust the sweetness!
