Yes, I watched the video twice you did. He was trying to switch it for a bunch of things.
I have an 07 Tacoma, it's finally demanding some well deserved parts 2 years ago A/C Compressor ( shop screwed up the install) , cat back exhaust because of Michigan road cancer ( shop screwed up the install ) , and last year a rack and pinion, it was crazy expensive, got a new Toyota unit for $1038.00, the rebuilt option was $858.00 and the off brand $798.00, I figured for only $200+ difference I might as well go with the New Toyota unit, I felt the rebuilt and off-brand should've been a couple hundred cheaper and I would've made my decision between them. Of course I went with a different shop and they did a great job and fixed the A/C compressor ( one of the lines was crossthreaded and ripped the O-Ring but they didn't tighten it up enough to ruin the threads so an O-Ring and proper screwing ( I guess thats what I got from the first shop ) got it fixed, the second shop didn't charge me for fixing the A/C issue. I also had the second shop finish the tierods and they had to special order a steering hose. I paid about $800 for all the work the second shop did and they also did some other minor stuff such oil change, fluid check, check the U-Joints, brakes etc. At least I found a good shop, it took 3 weeks to get all the parts in.
