We have just finished fostering a 4 day old baby goat. The first time mother would not accept her kid. We are retired and live on acreage in a subdivision. The baby was in our family room which we pretty much made goat proof. Bottle fed her until we could re-home her. It was one of the most rewarding experiences we have ever had. She is now with a good farm family living a goat life. They send us videos. Fills my soul.

We put them in tap water, bring to a gentle boil, start 10 minute timer. When timer dings, drain of the hot water, fill with cold tap water to cool yo touch and peel. There’s no “green” on the yoke. Once in a while, one will be difficult to peel.

When I had my big farm and had sheep an had bottle babies I had them in the house in a baby play pen an then my daughter was little at the time and she would run back and forth down the hallways in the house and they would run an jump an chase after her.my daughter an my husband at the time would rock them to sleep like a baby.it was so adorable.I just loved and laughed when I seen Forest run after you..it reminded me of the good old days raising sheep. The flying Nun was one of my favorites to watch everyday after school growing up.

Just found your channel recently. That was awesome. That lamb is your baby now and your mom. It took me back to when I grew up on a big cattle ranch in B.C. Canada. I live down in Memphis, TN, now with my wife and daughter their from S. Louisiana. Were both country folks and often talk about going back to our roots. It wasn't always an easy life but like you said. " Very rewarding".

I put eggs in water and bring to a boil. After it reaches a boil, leave lid on pot and turn off heat. Leave sitting on burner for 15 minutes. Afterwards, run cold water over eggs, then pour off most of water, add a few ice cubes. Put lid back on pot, shake the pot with ice cubes and small amount of water in it. After a few shakes, the shells will be loose and easily peeled.

Wont be long before Forest is awake to your capers of escape. It is the way you feed and how close you get with the lamb. If you dont want to be followed then you need barrier between you. A fence and cardboard with a hole to put bottle through is good for this. Lamb on one side and you on the other. But now your mumma you are able to act as the pied piper to shift your sheep into another paddock once Forest grows. Just walk in front, call his name and the rest follow 🙂
