Is the 2023 BMW iX M60 the BEST new luxury performance SUV to buy?

The iX is ALL NEW from BMW. On the outside you will find the unique modern BMW styling, new LASER lighting, and optional wheels. On the inside there is a spacious cabin with a fully flat floor, 14in infotainment system and one of a kind steering wheel. Powering the M60 are (2)electric motors that produce a massive 610HP. I have an BMW ix M60 I’ve had it for six months. I always had petrol performance cars before but I find this car so comfortable. I’m getting on a bit. And getting out of the Porsche was a pain but this car is just amazing. It’s a Bentley one minute and a Ferrari the next handling never ceases to amaze, but you have to try one for a few days, it took me around 3 weeks to get my settings right and be able to use it properly, I did try a Tesla 3 performance for a couple of months it’s a pretty cars but cheap build and my girlfriend was very scared of the phantom braking that happened frequently

If I am going to spend that level of money, I need to be able to open the trunk on my own rather than being inconvenienced of having to go to the dealer and pay extra fees. That is a complete deal breaker!

The windshield fluid reservoir is accessed by pressing the BMW badge on the front of the hood. Press on it and it springs open. The hood is easily released by pulling the drawstring under the dash on the driver's side and the drawstring on the passenger side. However, there is probably no need to open it because there is zero storage space under the hood. It's all motor, etc., and one would probably need a BMW mechanic to do work on it.

I have an IX 50 sitting at the port right now. It will hopefully make it to the dealer soon. Same color as this one. About 10K cheaper than the IX M60. There is a way to open the hood but there is no need.

When the wiper is placed on top it does look better. Joe, do you think the manufacturers who put the wiper on the bottom do it because if it’s on top it may create a larger blind spot for the driver where it’s left un wiped?

What's with the camera view overhead? You got a sliver of the front windshield it was hard to watch the view of the road or dash or view on interior seats. I hate you got the camera stuck to the overhead glass with no shade or cover at night from lights and tall trees going bye.... ;-( I'd skip the overhead glass no shade or cover... X6M for Me!

Tbh since it’s a BMW I understand the the fake grill design. However they could’ve gone a completely different way and kept the BMW style. Personally I would’ve removed it and made it out like a Tesla completely. While keeping everything else just without the grill and added added the fake vents next to the headlights

Likely getting this after X6M lease is up in a few months after dealer gave me one as a loaner for a couple of days. Ride is so much better in iX M60. My 2.5 year old X6 feels so old and heavy now despite similar HP. Looking forward to about $15K annual savings on insurance, tires, gas and payments. This iX has non-staggeered tires so I hope I can rotate them in lieu of new tires 2x year. IX is ugly yes, but I didn't notice when I was on inside enjoying ride. B&W in iX also blows B&W in X6M away.

Range not good for me... On my X3 M40i, I can go 425 miles without refueling. My X3's 0 to 60 time is just 4 secs. I would want a 500 miles range to start with, since it will go down as the battery ages; also, I need more charging stations on both sides of highways.

I get it that people are responsible for their own actions. What I don't get is why they are making cars faster and faster. Where exactly does BMW think it's customers would be planning to hit from zero to 60 well under 4 seconds? That driving right there could be considered reckless. We really are apes with baseball caps. I mean I just don't think people get it. Here this whole time a beautiful car with large windows that has a sports mode that can end lives in an instant, especially in the hands of drivers in South Florida.
