Is the NEW 2025 Hyundai Tucson Limited a BETTER compact SUV than a Honda CR-V?

I have a 2023 Limited FWD (also in Florida - lol). I really like it. So far it's been a solid, comfortable, quiet everyday drive. The interior is tight - no rattles or squeaks. Has all the amenities I wanted except for wireless Android Auto (the cable doesn't really bother me). Plus its just fine in flat Florida as far as acceleration goes and I don't need AWD. As it stands I get about 30 MPH in my typical driving. With the 2025 I'd be hard pressed to notice the difference in the exterior vs. mine plus I'm quite happy with the two screen layout. The interior of the 2023 still seems very current compared to many other crossovers.

Agreed! I just bought mine last Thursday (2023 LE) with a little over 8K miles on it. I used to have one back in 2019 but wrecked it. The newer ones are so nice! I have no complaints.

Hyundai and Kia are masters of the mid-cycle refresh. My wife drives a 22' Tucson PHEV and it's been a fantastic vehicle so far. I'd actually love it if Hyundai offered a pure BEV version.

I was having a hundai elantra 2014 never ever broke down no major maintenance and problems after 194k miles it still used to give 32-38 mpg , super reliable car , even better than my toyota camry thats i used to own before it . Surely hundai is killin it

One of the best fashion forward and modern design compact SUV on the market to date! It's actually more premium than CRV and Rav4. I can't believe Joe ignored that fingerprint scanner. Again, luxury features are not found on CRV. Not even ventilated seats. Also, if you want painted fenders around the car, the N-Line trim will have that covered.

I love how you reviewed this car, which is the same color as mine, Hampton Grey. Mine is a 2025 Tucson Preferred Trend, as it's called here in Canada. So far, I'm in love with it. While it's not the fastest car for aggressive drivers😅, driving it is incredibly smooth and comfortable. Great job, Joe! 💪

Always like your reviews, the humor and inuendoes. Have had several Tuscson's and a 2024 limited currently. I do like the improvements in the infotainment system and the transmission selector of the 2025. but still very satisfied with what I have. As far as the acceleration, I feel that the drive train is more than adequate to get the job done if driven "wisely" i.e. interstate ramps etc. BTW, most other comparable compacts unless have larger or turbocharged engines only have a some tenths to one second advantage. Mileage is underrated since I achieve 32-35+ mps's driving 65-over 70 mph. Guess it depends on the driver, eh?

That wheel cover panel in the cargo area slides out and drops down which means, whilst it's not good for longer items (ie not flush with the folded down seats), you to get additional height for taller items.

The only zonk @Tucson 2025 model (as earlier models, too) is still placing the rear turn signals too low. This is a bummer, i'd say. Curiously, after retouching and refinishing this beauty, still persisting in the same error. That is very important aspect, as many drivers cant see those lights at the right time, maybe too late and that could lead to unwanted events. the rest of 99%, great job Hyundai! I am Hyundai fan, got my dad's Hyundai Accent 2005, engine's smooth like butter but it only has 86 horsies, so in the future i might pick a Tucson, who knows? Love the interior cockpit fluent design and more focused on driver accessing the most important functions by rotary buttons or having the screens that you need to check when turning signals activated, these are a great plus! Big up, Joe! Fantastic job, as always!

Those are far less reliable especially long term. Hyundai is focused on fixing their reputation, especially considering this is more of a family car so the demand for a sporty turbo version is gonna be a lot lower

I have a 2023 Limited. I love the interior but it's a real lemon. They have refurbished the rotors 6 times!!! Front and back. The cooler pump is leaking, the drivers handle needs replacement because it doesn't detect the key, and it burns oil to the point of shutting down the engine. Stay clear!! I am filling for lemon law. 🍋

KZbin has some videos of people rewiring Tucson rear turn signals , making factory beltline taillights flash a turn. However, reports of dealer & Hyundai corp replied that rewiring would void vehicle warranty. Is it legal to void a whole car for a basic signal rewire?

Love my 23 Limited H-Trac but c’mon Hyundai, chill out with all the gloss black literally on almost every touch point! Find a way to develop fingerprint resistant surfaces like fingerprint resistant stainless steel kitchen appliances. Also, move that cargo lamp from the side to the ceiling. If the area gets full, it’s difficult to see. Add walk away auto lock and lock/unlock sensors to all 4 doors. The bird’s eye camera could be clearer as well. Regardless, a HUGE step in the right direction with these improvements.

Wireless carplay/auto, pretty quick to connect too. And I tested Android Auto GPS, it shows up on the HUD of the Limited trim, which isn't very common on other cars yet.

No. Here is Why is there no way to turn off the “consider taking a break “ Notification? I have a 2025 Tucson and I’m considering returning it for a car that doesn’t beep at me because it’s windy or there’s too much construction with uneven lanes. Do not buy Hyundai until they allow you to turn off all these nagging and distracting erroneous notifications. Thank you, Hyundai for ruining my new car experience.

"To turn off the "consider taking a break" notification on a 2025 Hyundai Tucson, navigate to your vehicle's settings menu on the infotainment system, then locate the "Driver Assistance" or "Safety" settings, and find the option to disable the "Driver Attention Warning" feature; this should effectively turn off the "consider taking a break" notification. My previous Tucson had the ability to turn it off, if I would’ve known, I would have kept it even though it had almost 100,000 miles. All of the “ safety features” are off. I sincerely regret buying this car because I cannot predict when the car will decide. I need to take a break.

My 2014 Santa Fe has a "feature" that if I shut the door while engine is running and I have the key fob in my pocket it will let out a very loud annoying beep. Basically telling the whole world my car is running with no one in it. I have yet to find the work around other than pulling wires.

Whatever Hyundai is doing is working because there are SO MANY new tucsons on the road, I’ve never seen anything like it. The incandescent blinkers are a big zonk though, Hyundai needs to stop playing. There’s no reason why cars are still using incandescent taillights in the year of our lord 2024.

Recently I almost missed one of the Tucson’s indicator lights while the traffic was B2B.. why cant they just have the usual rear indicator lights at usual eye level for Drivers behind.. It is worst for any higher ground clearance vehicle following them on merging or diverging lanes..
