Enrique Arayata what he means is that the roof isn’t a hardtop like the previous Lexus SC430 and IS Convertible. This one has a soft top which many dislike. You’re confusing hardtop with the coupe version of this car.

I bought a brand new 2019 LC last year. It is a fantastic machine. The sound it makes as soon as you push the start button makes you smile every time. Lots of positive comments from passersby in parking lots. Smooth ride make it a joy to drive. Great review.

I will have to disagree with you on the sound thing, It definitely does not sound better than a V8 Mustang, Challenger/ Charger or Camaro. It is very good looking though, . Actually, I don't think a Lexus should anyway, I mean sound like a muscle car.

This car will still be running 25 years from now. ALL it’s competition will not. All BMW’s, Mercedes, Audi’s, Porsche etc. they will be junked or crushed somewhere. I still have my 1992 Lexus SC400 with a V8 running like a champ. Reliability > 0-60 times any day!!

It might not be the best car ever, but it sounds and looks better than most $100k convertibles. As a "fun" second car, it'd be great. As a daily driver, I think the infotainment would frustrate me too much.

For 100-120k you could buy a zr1, c8 z51, BMW m4/5, Audi rs4, Audi rs5 sportback, Audi rs7, Shelby GT500, dodge demon, Audi ttrs, Merc c63s, GT-R and many more cars that are light-years ahead of this dinosaur running on a 10 year old platform.

Garrett correct but this isn’t meant to be a sports car it’s a luxury grand tourer cruiser. So compares to the mercedes sl, bmw 850, porsche 911 carrera, maybe a used Aston or Bentley those types of cars. Of course it’s behind the cars you named, those are all purpose-built sports cars

I like this car. The sound of the motor is awesome. The directional housing also looks like tear drops which is really unique except for maybe the Cadillac which has a similar design. Awesome review. Look forward to hearing the price!

The gray turn signal surround looks a little strange with the corner vents. Kind of looks like "Spuds Mckenzie," or something. Those wheels though may be the most attractive currently on any vehicle. That sound though.

The exteriorlooks nice, but to say that the interior is outdated would be an understatement. The tech, the gauges, which are so small that they have a feature to shift it around- look at it, its the width of the steering wheel hub, the console screen, the buttons... it literally looks like theyre using parts from 20 years ago. I get that the point is both performance and luxury. Where's the luxury with something that looks so old and poorly designed inside? Performance wise there are plenty of other vehicles in this range or cheaper that are more powerful. I just don't get it- I like Japanese cars but they always seem to look 2nd rate next to most German and American counterparts when it comes to high end performance/luxury- and thats why you see so few on the road. Where's the 100k at? The interior has nothing special about it- where are the luxury materials? This looks like a 50-60k vehicle, tops. Its like they know they will sell so few units so they bump up the cost to recoup the subpar engineering.

Excluding maybe the leather quality on the seats, the interior/console/dash/door panels and tech all looks like it was copy pasted from a 50k car. If they sold more luxury performance like the competition, you would get more for your money. Instead, you're overpaying for a lot less just because you're buying from an under-represented manufacturer in this segment

I always thought the old BMW 8 series was one of the coolest cars of the time. The tech and options it had were ahead of it's time, and I still believe it to be an absolutely beautiful automobile that has stood the test of time. I feel that way, and then some about the Lexus LC 500. 30 years from now, it'll still be jaw dropping to me. Such a stunning automobile to look at, not to mention legendary Lexus reliability.
