A long-requested epic cinematics is here. Inspired by real events, the Soviets storm China to defeat the Japanese in their puppet state Manchuria (Manchukuo) in the last days of WW2. This is their epic last stand, to defend against the Soviet masses. I designed this realistic map to simulate the Gobi desert, and the mountains to really give you the feeling and accurate presentation of this area.
That said if you enjoy epic short film then don't forget to leave a LIKE! Gates of Hell Ostfront game.

This is a very forgotten and underrated side of WW2 conflict! Many don't realise that if not soviet push through Manchuria, Japan most propably wouldn't surrender after Hiroshima and Nagasaki! Thank you for this!

This led to the Soviet Union supporting the Communist Party of China to defeat the Kuomintang, and by the way, supporting North Korea to cause the Korean War

This is a good thing for the Japanese and Americans. The Soviet Union ended the Pacific War early, but the Chinese and Korean people are very pitiful! The Soviet army did the same as the Japanese army in Northeast China and the Korean Peninsula.

If you know people from Northeast China, you will find that they are generally strong and fierce. After all, Northeast China has been plagued by disasters since ancient times. Many wars and massacres will happen there. If you are not fierce, you cannot survive there.

Not really. In reality it was both the atomic bombings and the threat of american invasion and the russian advance into Manchuria that forced Japan into surrender. Japanese knew that the russians taking Manchuria was problematic, but the russians would not be able to invade their mainland. The civilian population was not told about the attack on Manchuria in the surrender declaration read by the emperor in the radio and even after it was invaded, the japanese so called War council did not decide to surrender, their vote was a draw. Only after the second atomic bomb was dropped Hirohito took matters into his own hands and broke the stalemate of the War Council, thus agreeing to surrender. It should also be noted that despite the fact that the government decided to surrender, the japanese army commanders in China and East Asia simply refused to go through with it and wanted to continue fighting, as the russians getting into Manchuria basically played into the "Ketsu-go" doctrine. And there was even an attempted coup by some officers who tried to steal the surrender declaration.
@-..-..-..-
@-..-..-..- Жыл бұрын
@@Lehr-km5be I think both the Soviet invasion and the US dropping the atomic bombs were the main reasons for Japan's surrender. The Japanese government should be more afraid of the Soviet invasion, because at that time the top Japanese government did not know the power of the atomic bomb. You can refer to one of the newspapers at that time 8月8日の紙面に掲載された「新型爆弾」に関する談話の記事 - 1945/8/8の紙面から【広島市侵入のB29 新型爆弾を使用か わが方に相当の被害】【戦力化そう不良児 家庭の指導が大切】 My opinion on the content of the newspaper is that the Japanese government seems to think that the atomic bomb is just a more powerful bomb

First issue with this video: the Japanese Type 3 Chi-Nu medium tank did not leave the Japanese home islands. So, that is already something that is factually incorrect from the start. Second issue: The Type 3 Chi-Nu could not blow the ammunition stowage of the T-34/85, as it did not enter combat. If it did, only a side shot would’ve done such massive damage due to the fact that the 75mm gun was based on the KwK L/42 of the Panzer IV Ausführung F2.

There is a really good Anti War movie made in a collaboration between China, Russia and Japan called "Purple Sunset" set in Operation August Storm about a Chinese farmer who escaped death from Japanese execution after the Russian saved him. He and a Russian female soldier end up being lost in the Chinese wilderness where they had to rely on a Japanese girl from the Manchuko colony towns who failed to commit suicide. They had to force her to lead them back to the nearest town.

Excellent video. While there were some technical errors they do not take away from the pure carnage happening here. The Russian troops were veterans of fighting the Germans while the bulk of the Kwantung Army consisted of raw recruits and obsolete equipment; the best troops had been siphoned off to fight the Americans (e.g. 9th Infantry Division sent to Okinawa then Formosa). The Russians went through the Japanese like (paraphrasing Patton) 'poop' through a goose!. Loved the video for the cinematic aspect!

author, you missed a lot. For example, in reality there was no storming of the fortified positions of the Kwantung army. The Soviet soldiers did much more interesting: instead of launching a full-scale assault, they began conducting sabotage operations, that is, Soviet stormtroopers who attacked the weakened garrison at night and took Japanese soldiers practically without a fight. And how our tanks crossed the big Khingan in 5 days. It was real. The Soviet army had a colossal experience of conducting land wars, unlike other countries, and therefore, the USSR was able to destroy the entire Japanese army in just 3 weeks. This was in reality, and not what you show in your video. No, I understand that the hidden sabotage sorties of Soviet stormtroopers and the passage of tanks over the ridges do not look interesting, but it was possible to arrange it beautifully. I know you can do it. It would be much more interesting that way. And the capture of the Kuril Islands could be shown. There, by the way, 2,000 people killed 20,000 Japanese soldiers, without the support of tanks, artillery and, to some extent, aviation. This could also be shown. There's a lot to see there. But apparently Wikipedia is not available. Oh well, I'm not mad. I just expected more. But, these are my expectations.
@warfare11gaming
@warfare11gaming Жыл бұрын
If you give me the budget and time, all these details would be represented in the video, easily. Unfortunately, as we're living in this world, where the content we create is ruled by the algorithm, then in most cases creating extreme quality, less action more storytelling, and expensive video productions is not worth it, in terms of viewership, growth, and income you get back from it.

@erixhartman4735 Жыл бұрын
@@warfare11gaming As I said, these are my claims, which are simply related to inflated expectations. Of course, it takes a lot of time, and especially a lot of money. Because it's just my high expectations. So if I seemed demanding somewhere, I apologize. On the contrary, I would like to know if it is possible to do something in the game. what did I describe to you above?

The very last battle was the taking of the Kuriles islands, it was a disaster for the soviets who were used to make a continental war, japanese knew how to defend islands. In fact even after signing the unconditional surrender soviets didnt stop attacking treacherously. The UN solved that two of those islands were japanese and the other two would be soviet. They didnt respect this. Actually Japan is STILL at war with Russia (as a heir of the soviet union) since none of them signed any peace treaty.

The video overestimates the losses of the USSR. The losses of the Soviet troops turned out to be 18.6 times lower than the losses of the Japanese. They were equal to less than 0.1 percent of the total personnel of the Soviet troops who took part in this military campaign. By the beginning of hostilities against Japan, the troops of the Trans-Baikal Front had 422 obsolete BT-7 tanks with bulletproof armor, as part of the 1st Far Eastern there were 474 (377 serviceable) BT-7. Combat losses even of the BT-7 were low and amounted to 10 units, 34 were damaged. And in the video there is some kind of shit "The enemy is at the gate")) In short, the video does not pretend to be historical very much))

This is one of the only campaigns where the Soviets took less casualties in WW2, the Japanese lost approximately 674,000 men compared to the Soviets 36,000.

Think main reason is that the Kwantung army by then was just a "scare crow army" after all their weapons and best soldiers died in the Pacific or various places in China

a big "what-if" question I may come up with is how well the Soviet Red Army, instead of the US Army, would have fought against the Imperial Japanese Army in the Pacific? The dense jungle environment would have been detrimental to armored warfare I think.

@@kbuitienthinh The soviets could probably adapt to jungle warfare simillarly to how they adapted to urban warfare, but i doubt their navy will be powerful enough to challenge the japanese.
