Kid: playing with plastic soldiers Kid's mother: Aww... Cute What the kid is imagining:
@thefiringsquadtfs63924 жыл бұрын
nothing could be truer. thats why people in the past think better than people today. because most kids before play with real toys before they were introduced with video games. they use their mind, their imagination while playing. unlike today, most kids play video games even as a toddler, and the devices, the games has great graphics, kids don't need to use their minds, their imagination to enjoy. thats why older generations enjoy "stupid" mods with mish mash skins, its because they have random toys and its up to their imagination on how it's going to be "realistically connected" in their minds.

all I know is I said something out of my observation translating it with the education I acquired from college as well as from work. any normal person wouldn't see this as an attack to the gaming community. so just stop the verbal-aggressiveness. if you haven't notice in your life calling someone names doesnt make you right, or solve your problems. just take it with a grain of salt, and if you disagree with it, fine, you can either ignore what I said just laugh at me behind your screen or you can tell me your objective observations that will counter mine. Im okay with that. tell me how Im wrong instead of just throwing insults, brother. I mean no harm to you and the gaming community. Those flak towers were key in the defense of Berlin three of them built in positions to create a triangulation of anti-aircraft fire over the city center. The large guns at the top you see used are twin mount (128mm) 12.8cm FlaK 40 (Flakzwilling) high velocity guns that weighed about 27 tonnes and considered one of the most effective and feared heavy AA guns of that era. The Berlin Zoo flak tower used these guns to support ground troops and could obliterate any Soviet armoured vehicle and did just that during this battle, where dozens of Soviet tanks met their demise just from these 3 FlaK towers. Aside from its main armament the towers also had smaller caliber 2cm FlaK 30 guns that could hit targets almost 10 miles away with a 360 degree field of fire. You couldn't destroy these things either, with walls of almost 1 ft of solid concrete that even the 203 mm M1931 howitzers one of the largest and most powerful guns the Soviets had, couldn't do much damage to these things. The battle of Berlin overall cost the Soviets at least 80k Casualties. 30k of those in just the battle of Seelow Heights (the Gates of Berlin) alone.

And you sir, have captured that snapshot of history! The desperate defense of the German defenders (56th Panzer Korps), the elements of the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine thrown in as cannon fodder, the enormous guns on the flak towers, with the finale of the Waffen SS defending the ruins of the Reichstag. All the written histories of the end of Berlin were captured in this masterpiece. Bravo! Well done!!

Nice video, quite emotional. But why do the Red Army attack in zerg-rush manner? From my grangfather's tale (he was one of those soldiers storming Berlin) the city was like one huge fortress made up of ruins, bunkers and barricades. Those were systematically destroyed by arty and tanks and then meticulously cleared by infantry, meter by meter, for several days. Infantry usually advanced behind tank cover or through ruins parallel to cover the tank flanks. Berlin was a festung similar to many other city-fortresses the germans built before retreating, so Red Army men had a good experience in taking them by that time. It was a heroic deed, nevertheless. Everyone understood that this was a final push and none wanted to die on the last days of war but the monster had to be finished off, so it was their job to do it.

Nice video and brings back some memories for me! (not of the war, I'm not that old.) . I've been in Berlin, and I crossed the Moltke (sp?) bridge (seen at 10:14) which takes you to the Reichstag. If even a fraction of the troops actually crossed the bridge at one time as portrayed in this video game, then it would have been a slaughter as the bridge is so narrow and there's nothing to hide on or behind. Can you imagine running over it back then?? I also visited the Reichstag and one of the Flakturms (Flak tower) with the 88s shown in the video - they are both robust buildings that are hard to destroy. The North flakturm is so robust in fact that the Allies couldn't bring it down after the war! I wish MOW:AS2 would allow maps the size of Berlin, then it would be the perfect RTS. RTS games seem to be on their arse now, and Call To Arms is still lacking.

The attention to detail is great. Dontiz gave his personal guard in the defense of Berlin, thats why you see some kreigsmarine soldiers. The flak towers are a great addition. In editor i was able to use french soldier templates and french waffen ss skins that some one created, so the soldier speak french and used the ss uniform, would of been i nice addition if you could have done it in the video as well as using some Gew 98, MG08 and mp28. Otherwise great job.

Nice work on this bro. So many cool Details even when soldiers AI is not the Best in this game. Also I wanted to Point out that Führer had his Personal Version of Walther which was Walther PPK. Reichstag interior was cool too but there's other mod for previous Assault squad game where Reichstag interior is detailed a lot better than this one here. But the metro was made better here. Good Work. I could only imagine how much time it took from you.
@warfare11gaming4 жыл бұрын
I see now Reichstag interior mod you're talking about. It's well done, though a bit oversized to be real in my opinion. I could have made my version more advanced if I had even more time to put on it but nevertheless, for the most part, I achieved my goal there. Thanks.

Sure they did in the Battle of Berlin, but probably not at the Reichstag though. The decimated SS-Sturmbataillon Charlemagne which had been reduced to around 30~60 men on April 30th, 1945 should mainly defended the Reich Chancellery areas at this point. The SS forces in the Battle of Reichstag should be the element of 11th SS Nordland PzG (mostly Scandinavian), mix with the element of 1st SS Leibstandarte PD and other Allgemeine SS units (mostly German).
@СергейДружинников-з6ж3 жыл бұрын
Judging by the video, the Soviet troops flooded Berlin with their corpses. The real figures are as follows: From April 16 to May 8, the Soviet troops lost 352475 people, of which 78291 people were irretrievably lost. The losses of the Polish troops during the same period amounted to 8892 people, of which 2,825 were irretrievably lost. That is, the number of Soviet soldiers killed was 78 thousand people, and not at all a million, not half a million, or even 300 thousand. The enemy's losses were about 400 thousand people killed, about 380 thousand people captured Google Переводчик
@nerevarinenwah36903 жыл бұрын
Good comment. The corpse flooding tactic is a fabrication from right wing cold war propaganda. The USSR had like half the number of troops compared to the Axis at the start of Barbarossa. Also, the final death to kill ratio for the Red Army in WW2 was like 1.2 red army soldiers lost for every Axis soldier lost when you count only military casualties. The figures are usually inflated because they consider the enormous civilian losses that the genocide unleashed by nazis in the USSR.
@aminedioua7483 жыл бұрын
that's how they win the war by the huge numbers of soldiers but in fact german army was much better than the red army
