you should try a two rotor rake, even for european standards the single rotor is kinda small. Something like a Fendt Former 671 (I know, Fendt isn't common in your area).

New round balers are expensive and still break. We have a 459 baler that is about 6 years old. It was $32k new. You still have to put money into that thing every once in a while. We just had to change a couple hydraulic valves on it. $800

Hi guys. So i wasn't sure if you received any messages from our family lately. My father, David, passed away earlier last month from health complications. He and I were very close. We operate a dairy farm in northwestern Maryland. It's been in our family for generations but small compared to our neighbors. Making hay, chopping forage and milking cows were our lives. Faming is Fixing. Most folks around here are using twin bar rakes or wheel rakes instead of that style. Seems you could use a bigger one but then I don't see how you would control the width like a Vermeer R2300 which we use for heavy crops.
