Hey ralfy just wanted to tell you, you were the reason i got into whisky! Back in 2016!! Ive collected many bottles ever since from Glendronach single casks, to the classic Benromach, to the Deanston! To the classic Johnnie W Green! To the Adberg, to the Springbank, to the Bushmills!!! And many many more!! Over the years ive collected but barely drank any of them out of all my collections, had maybe about 15-20 different kinds of whiskies all new bottles opened for myself and friends to share!! And since then from 2016 i still have many classic bottles I haven’t opened or touched! Saving it for special occasions!! Just wanted to thank you for all you have done for the malt whiskies communities, you are truly one of a kind Gentlemen! with class, respect and very knowledgeable about whats good to drink based on your experiences and reviews!! Ive felt the same when having to purchase some bottles from your recommendations!! And most of all i’ve always loved having a wee bit of a dram from your recommendations! Such a great accomplishment! Congratulations, Ralfy. I thank you kindly for the knowledge you share and all the life you put in your videos. I remember finding your channel somewhere in the 400s and there have been so many milestones. The land speed record in 2016 was probably one of my favorites. Glencadam 10 being malt of the year and the introduction to Kilkerran back when it was cheap and available (I bought it for $46 a bottle.. now hard to find and $85 a bottle!). It really makes for great memories like you mentioned. Slainte mhath!

Congrats on 1,000 Ralfy! I won't say I've been there from the start, but it has been a while. When I got married six years ago, we served a whisky from every region, and that included a bottle of Springbank which I chose thanks to your recommendation and obtained at a very reasonable price, even in Australia. I've just checked the website now and they're sold out (but priced far higher than I'd ever spend anyway). I'd never tried a Springbank up to then, so made damn sure to have a dram at my own wedding. It was the only one I managed to have before the ungrateful guests drank the lot... no doubt mixed with Coke or something. So Springbank is special to me as well. Here's to another 1,000! Ralfy ~ I joined you about about 850. Whisky had always been there but always in the background. When I decided to make it my libation of choice I knew that glitzy, shiny, glass n chrome marketed products weren’t for me and I had to find authenticity and wisdom from those who’d journeyed before me. And there you were. I spent 3 days at Springbank this year and everything you say is true. It is everything whisky should be - a drink with soul, identity and place. Slainte and on to 2,000 🥃

I found one Springbank in the wild in little Perth, Western Australia. The bottle was Springbank 18 and they wanted 1000 Aud dollars for it even though it retails for around 500 Aud. Needless to say my scotch collection has stopped, the prices and taxes are outrageous and its made whisky collecting not worth the money or the health issues....Congrats to 1000 reviews great effort mate.

I found ralfy when I was 19. I’m going to be 30 in two months. He changed they way I viewed whisky through my twenties. I have only ever had the chance to buy bunnahabhain 18 once in my life and I was 21 years old. I saved up $107 for it. My friends thought I was stupid… I love this guy. Thanks Ralfy for everything you done. I've grown up as a whiskydrinker with your videos. Yea, its that long of a time you make videos. My passion really begans with a taste of Springbank 15. I've brought a bottle after the tasting for so much money back then, I've tought I would be crazy. This bottle waited for me 6 years, cause I wanted to celebrate my gradition from university with it. In the meantime I bought other bottles, discover, searching online and been influenced by your videos. Cheers to you with a 1997/2009 Springbank form a Portcask from Ducan Taylor. One of the little miracles you've talked. It did not drown in port and I think the trick was to use a refill cask.
