Too funny to find guys with the same mindset. I am 51, retiring from the military, been interested in skating since I was in college but never able to get proficient. Just bought a rally cat deck, I am going to bubble wrap my entire body and I’m determined to learn some slides. Feel like an idiot but I can’t help it.

So I just got this board in the mail 5 days ago and I gotta be honest when I first stepped on it and started riding I wasn't in love it felt awkward and uncomfortable to get started on. I was bummed out and feeling like I wasted my money BUT after riding consistently even though my first impression wasn't the best I can say with out a doubt this is the most fun board I have had. It takes a few to get comfortable but once you do holy smokes you won't wanna get off it. From ollies to slides to the little bit of downhill I have done this board is it man. Cannot give Landyachtz enough props. This is the 3rd landyachtz board I have owned and my favorite of the three. Not to long but not to short either it is just freaking awesome and I feel like I can go anywhere with it and do anything. Thanks Landyachtz!

@Jean Claess'n I also got the drop cat. It’s the shorter version cause I have a smaller stance, I’m loving it. Thinking I’ll get this for it’s versatility and maybe it’ll be easier to slide so I can learn to slide with out getting the switch blade or something. Switch blade slides very well but I want more versatility than that. And it’s cheaper lol

@@iosoi3145 it was definitely the right choice. It’s very fun to ride and very easy to get the hang of riding it, you can rock pretty far back and forth like he showed in the video, and your feet stay in the right place pretty well the way the board is designed.

This bord is just way way to good. It is like the best of all world melted into one project. It slides well, cruise comfortably, jumps... it fking jumps like a mad I tell you. It jumps like a cat. Mraaaaw... and you are on the top of neighbor tree. Having problems with your ADHD dog? Get the CAT run the dog ! My first landyachtz board, and if it will not break on the tail (it is so long) before winter I am gonna get my self Cheese Grate, Alex seams like a mad man but I do trust in his craziness xD if he sad it shreds it shreds period :)

I can't ollie on my rally cat AT ALL. Have any tips? I can ollie fairly well on other boards (gin and tonic dinghy and ATV series) but the rally cat has proven to be difficult in that area.

@@marcoleon7718 Rally Cats tail is at lower angle than normal skateboard. To get better pob you might want to put ur back foot further away. So you are more on your toe. Also dont push ur foot with whole leg, just snap it with a single ankle motion. You might also want your front foot a bit closer to Landyahtz letters.

@@owenstuber7131 If this is your first board I would recommend starting with the Dinghy. I have 7 Landyatchz boards now, I can't stop, lol. The Rally cat still my go to, there's a hill I never gone down? the rally cat gives me the confidence I need to face new things, it's like a graceful tank, it's big and heavy, but my goodness it's fun to ride. 10/10. I bought a Tugboat as first board recently! Waiting on it in the mail. Do you happen to have a Drop Cat? I was looking at ATV, Rally Cat, and Drop Cat before cruisers just took my money. Lol. I want to learn to push and brake well just coasting around and want to work on learning Ollies without a pure trickboard. After that I'm pretty sure I'm gonna want to find some hills and speed here in Hawaii and learn some downhill sliding. Thinking I'll end up with either a Drop Cat or Rally Cat at that point so just wasting time trying to find the long board from Landyachtz that I know I'll eventually want

I just bought the same model this week’...the red one because of the 155 mm trucks (I was looking to the rally cat metal but seems to have shorter trucks) Really impressed how it rides (compared to the drop hammer I bought) Lot of qualities this rally cat and very playful with the kicktail(compared with my drop hammer). Good for my new hobby at my 46´and 97kg!!😅

@@marianthebeat Hop! I just had a weekend with the two at seaside in Belgium ! I had long distances pushing and some mellow downhill ,streets fun and lot of carving with some little visit at local small skatepark. The drop hammer feels good (very good)to take speed easy and cross the streets even through the rails of the tram 🚊 Rally cat does too. But not at ease for skate park. Rally cat is good everywhere but Less forgiveness at speed than the drop hammer. I like the two boards for what they offer but the drop hammer has longer base with bigger wheels which make it very confortable. So I’m very happy to have these boards!. You can’t be wrong with none of them!

Was lucky to find someone selling the new Metal version nearby me nearly brand new for a great price. This board is awesome and I'm surprised there aren't more videos of it. It feels like a way more capable dinghy, in that it's stable and more comfortable to push over longer distances, but still has the nimble feeling the dinghy provides. Just picked up some slide gloves so I'm learning to slide on it too.

How does this compare to the Sidewalker? Surprisingly the Sidewalker seems to be listed as handling hills better. So more freeride and tricks. I'm a noob but the Rally Cat looks like a great all round board for getting around though.

Rally Cat is a great "first" board. It can handle most terrain you throw it and is a perfect board to find out what style of skating speaks to you the most. Sidewalker is better for doing tricks but they both should handle downhill the same.

The Veneficus just keep at it. Before i got my dinghy i rode a penny board and had a hard time with it at first but youll get used to your foot positions. Like try to put the rear foot right after the front foot and just adjust from there. It'll get better and you'll love it, the dinghy really is a fun little board to ride. Oh and also i got different bushings for my dinghy because it was turning on a dime with stock bushings

It's a great beginner board because it's stable and the rocker gets you lower to the ground to make pushing easier. It's also able to skate most terrain so you can find out what style of skating speaks to you.

I built one just on my bday a few weeks ago. Comin from a 44” cruiser , I gotta say this Rally Cat is exactly as described in video; fast, agile but very very controllable due to the insane rocker. Don’t overlook what hesays about it being fast. It is hyper quick. I made mistake of tryin some 180mm Cal II 50 ° RKPs w fatfree otangs but it bit into wells. This is definitely a TKP setup deck so I grabbed som3 bear 155 , bloodorange barrels , Cush cones streetside and the purple fattie hawgs & the deck came alive! @John Patrick Clifford Same here, got the lagoon monster one and love it. @Poo Bear, the dinghy is indispensable, easy to travel, light and does the job, so it's a must have. For my second Landyachtz board I got the Rally Cat, I love them both for what they are. But if you are looking for another board, the Rally Cat is amazing, super comfortable, easy to push and carve. I love both of my Landyachtz boards!

I’ll tell you what these wheels are ; freakin’ awesome! I was so pleasantly surprised , coming from almost exclusively riding O’tsngs ( fat free and 4pres) , I moved to the purple-white mix fattie hawgs 63mm in 78 and they literally have velvet like fur from the stoneground ...butter-chalk but massively forgiving. I’m just learning to slide but they break free on instinct and grip in same manner. Deep, deep offcenter makes ‘em look killer, too. Wearing even thus far.

Can anybody help? I’m 32 years old. 90-95 kilograms. 6 feet tall and shoe size 12. Never been on a board before. I do exercise regularly, but it’s not the same thing. I wanna start learning to commute to work on a longboard or cruiser. Would the rally cat be recommended as a daily commuter for 2-4 miles. I can’t do ollies, but would like to learn it. I’m looking for a board that’s for commuting and learning to do a few tricks. I’m doubting between the rally cat and the 2020 ripper by landyachtz. Who can help me?

Both of your choices are great for learning to push and cruise! Considering you're pushing 2-4 miles everyday you'll really like the rocker on the Rally Cat because it keeps you low to the ground making pushing very comfortable. Both boards are able to ollie but not as easy to learn as other boards (Rally Cat is easier to do tricks than the Ripper for some) If tricks are a bigger concern the ATV series is also a great option. I’d say I would be a little afraid to start with the smaller boards. So I think I’m gonna go ahead with the rally cat. If I would wanna change the wheels, what’s the biggest size wheels that can fit under it without causing wheelbite?

I am going to buy one of Your board but they are all so cool that i cant decide which one. I am 38y old guy, just trying to go back into skating after like 23 years. I am little rusty and little too heavy - 88 kg. Want to skate just for fun and to loose some weight. I was about to buy Wreck Tangle or Tug Boat, but now i am in love with Rally Cat. Which of these boards will be better and easier to use for a beginner guy like me? I hope i am not too heavy for them.

The Rally Cat is a great board to get you back into skating. The lowered foot platform keeps you stable and makes pushing a breeze (easy on the knees!). It also has a kick tail for maneuverability and allows old dogs to learn new tricks!

I did both and couldn't be happier. My suggestion is, if you need something portable, the dinghy is the best, it's portable, fast and satisfying. But if you want super smooth and comfortable ride, the Rally Cat is the ticket. They both carve beautifully and are quality made boards, so that's the reason I recommend both, if you can swing it... Either way, you are going to be happy with your decision!

@@LuvBeautifulMusics I prefer Landyachtz over Loaded Poke because of the board material. Loaded uses fiberglass/bamboo which makes it way too bouncy for me, whereas Landyachtz uses Maple, which you still have a little bounce, but you also have the firmness and better control. I might be bias, sure, but I just love Landyacthz boards, as I now own 3, Dinghy, Rally Cat , and Wreck Tangle.
