@@rodneypratt7082 It's the story of his first time performing. He won a contest when he was 17 and opened for Sam Kinison. Before the show Kinison told him if he got into trouble, the more he screamed and cursed at the audience, the more they would love him. He flopped on a punch line, tried it and was mercilessly booed. He didn't realize at the time that Kinison was messing with him. He started crying on stage and ran off. Kinison laughed at him and told him he would never make it in comedy. Ralphie has spoken about it being a motivating factor in his early career before.

Oh man, so sad that Ralphie is not here with us now.. He'd be ripping the best routines about everything. What a talented performer he was.. And so funny too.. No one was safe from his very political incorrect humour! I remember watching one bit where he was bagging African Americans, Asians, Mexicans and white people too, it was amazing how much he could get away with.. But his observations were from his own lived experience and had real truth to them that everyone could recognise and acknowledge, maybe that's why he could say what he wanted and not get ripped apart as racist.
