Ram 1500 Classic Tow Hooks

The open end of the hooks should be to the middle not the outside as you have them. Reason why is when using your on the road the other vehicle in ditch, when you pull then the strap, Dring etc won’t slip off. Obviously same if you’re in the ditch and being recovered. If you keep open end outside you use the opposite hook to recover I.E. left hook for right side recovery.

It's the same thing. Regardless one end will slip off. The installation instructions state to install them this way.

Are those brackets opposite? I got same kit but need 2 same brackets
