The dealer added the lock. The dealer should have told you about it. That's why it wasn't in the owners manual.

If that's the case, then I'm really pissed off because I spoke with the sales manager specifically about it and he had no idea about the lock.

@@bmasontv Ya they messed up. Usually Whoever does the PDI, Pre delivery inspection. is told by a manager to install the locks. Especially the dealers that have spare tires stolen off of trucks on the lot.

That tube is for anything you need to pour into the gas tank, I'm guessing you have a gas without a cap on it, I only found out when I went to pour something into the gas tank and didn't have one of those to hold the opening open

@@bmasontv Part of being professional is knowing your product lines, Trim level details, etc. The dumbass I bought my RT Shaker from a few years back gave me Scat Pack Specs on it ..lol. I knew he was just bullshitting me, or maybe he just didn't know. So glad I found a better dealer with knowledgeable staff when I did my Scat upgrade.

bought this truck and have the same issue but no key. I gave the dealership the VIN # and they sold me the wrong key. Said they can't help me. If i can somwhow cut it down they'd sell me a new winch assembly. Now i'm looking for a proper key. Yours looks like it would fit.

At 3:12 you are holding the instructions upside down and in the upper right corner it says, "connect key to jack tool engage lock to key" right above the diagram for it.

Yep... That's kinda part of the joke. The dealership never mentioned anything about the lock. It was a dealership installed accessory. Because I was never informed of it, and frankly because I'd never seen it before and all my years, I didn't even think to look for the packet that was in the glove Box.

That plastic funnel is for capless vehicles, to pour in gas, or like you said, for women to offload ballast. They're also known internally as a "shenis." The more you know!

I don't have a part number, but you would need the specific part number for the key that you have. You can remove the lock by removing the winch and removing the lock from the cup that the adapter goes into.

@@HummingBird_Circle if the winch is still on the truck, the white thing is actually the bell mouthed part of the winch. I haven't seen another color, but it could maybe be that that insert is not white on your truck, maybe it's black. If you crawl underneath the back of the truck and look straight up you should be able to see the bell mouth of the winch
