I agree with you on the overheating.... my phone gets soooo hot, so quickly......and it takes forever to charge so im opting for a handlebar mount. Nice video!!!

😢There should be a hole below the badge as there was on the K1300 . I think it was threaded but cant remember. You can buy a ball mount which screws into this .

no, its a non threaded area and has a large nut very close to the openeing. I already tried that approach . PLus I have 2 spots this way and can mount my camera on one and the phone of the other. this is better for me.

Terrific information. Purchased a 2021 1250RT. I’m having the dealer do same or similar to your video. The iPhone 13 is definitely a very hot charging phone in that cubby hole. Hopefully outside the cubby will be much more accommodating. I’m sensing that about all iPhone users will be in for a big surprise regarding the heat that occurs in the cubby hole.

i actually now have a pixel 4 and it doesnt have wireless charging, so its basically a glove compartment now. LOL

so how hot was it outside when it overheated ? 70 degrees F ? 95 degrees F ? How long was it in the compartment when it happened ? I never heard of this happening with any other review before.

over 90 and most of the day. i guess if you are just running around town its okay, but on a +6 day tour, its a fail.

Where to get the handlebar stems: 1) BMW Part Number: Left side: 32728532971 Right side: 3272852296 Much cleaner install and pushed the Ram mounts a bit wider.

thanks. the only upgrade i plan on is the bar risers to bring them up just a tad. that would better suit my riding style. I have plenty of rooom to mount stuff.
