The ONE, THE ONLY, What a MIRACLE! I'm an Essar Lover 4ever. I heard Ooo Baby Baby @ 11 yrs old and fell in love with that voice and it's been a 57 yr. affair. I love a lot of great singers from all genres. But, to me Smokey and that melodious storytelling voice is a GENRES in itself. BLee

Smokey live on Soul Train? Live vocals? Live instruments? Don’t get no better than this! Can a falsetto get any sweeter? This soul music haunts your spirit wanting to be the one someone yearns for like this? Smokey. A national treasure. Whew. Got me feeling some type of way y’all!

Thanks for posting this, wonderful to see and hear Smokey perform this beautiful ballad. Was lucky to see him live in the UK in the early 80's and this was always one of the highlights of the show. He really is a wonderful songwriter and his solo work is sometimes overlooked, but this from "Pure Smokey" and of course "Quiet Storm" were wonderful albums and strangely under appreciated. Thanks again .
