I'm happy, but it can sometimes get me feeling burnt out. I know how much work the back end of a business takes (I basically run a business full time), and then combined with the my KZbin gaming channel as a hobby. It's a lot of work, but also has it's benefits with the flexibility, among other things. I always thought KZbin would be easy, but then I started doing it, and man I love it, and maybe it's just my format, but it's a lot of work! It really gave me a lot of appreciation for the work and effort that some people put into their videos. Keep being awesome boogie!
@quiet75848 жыл бұрын
Hey boogie, first time watching one of your videos and I already subbed. It took me a while to come to terms that my bad days that turn into bad months are from depression and most of the time when I come home from work I just want to lay in bed until I have to get up and get ready to go back. Videos like these 'rambling' ones make me happy cuz it takes my mind off my own issues and I honestly just love hearing about other people's days without the commitment of having to keep up the other half of the conversation. I hope everyone has some good days coming up.

absolutely and as i said at the end of the video I feel terrible complaining about it. I never had the skill set to work in an office or to be able to deal with other people so thankfully i was able to do this at least. Its a different skill set and one fortunately that I do have. But it doesn't compare to your usual 9 to five and some of you folks are breaking your back providing for your families and I respect that quite a lot.

Honestly? No. I'm not happy. I'm unemployed(not for lack of looking), living at home, slowly realizing I have VERY few friends I can actually rely on and have had enough shitty things happen in my life the past year that I should probably be seeing a therapist. Err, for context, I'm only 21. People keep telling me I'm young and have time, but that is the literally the least helpful thing I have heard in years. It's not all doom, gloom and self pity. I have a great family that supports me and a wonderful dog that I love very much, but other than that I'm honestly feeling pretty lost right about now. With that being said, thank you, Boog. With all you've been through, having made it out the other side is. . . more inspirational than my meager vocabulary can begin to explain.

*what makes us happy is watching your videos* :) in this time of computer and networking people spend less time with each other and i suspect the nature of us humans looks out for interaction or at least some social input and while its easy for people to get lost in a avatar or a front they put up either to distant themselves from the internet to feel a little bit protected by beeing less exposed that also creates a barrier and its easy to get the feeling that you deal with faces and basicly made up characters. watching and listening to you has a certain quality no matter what the topic might be since you come across as very honest and caring and real. you dont hide you expose yourselve. its takes courage to look inside yourselve and realize that it is a fine line between beeing a hero or feeling like a coward most people wont even admit their own failiurs to themselves let alone to others. it takes alot to face your own fears and even more to put it down for others to see. you share and you give you are real and those clicks are not just numbers they are people and they amount to a size that can fill stadions like football arenas. imagine each chair beeing filled with at least one people. and now think about what im about to say next you are the reason they are here you are the reason why they are happy so thank you from all of us

Writing and video games, that's what makes me happy. That last statement you made, I wonder how wrong I'll be, really allowed this video to sink in. Boog, accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative. Put to the forefront everything that brought you joy when explaining your week; your wife, your pups, your ability now to purchase insurance! Those are all great things in your life. End on a high note. You were bang on in the estimate of your video. You are a great human being who clearly has a lot of positive things going for him. Focus on that. When I'm down and out, having a bad day, bad week, etc., my mantra is, 'Could be a fuck of a lot worse'.

Not happy atm. Suffered a severe Autistic Meltdown earlier today, (my body picked a fight with a wall) and I am sore all over. Struggling emotionally and physically, as Ark Survival Evolved, my favorite server is 592 where I've made lots of friends, but it (and the other servers on it's cluster) is suffering instability and random crashes every day, and no word from devs in several days on the fix. It's been unstable for over a week, so long that some dinos timers have run out, the owners unable to keep the timers up due to the server instability, most of the server residents seemed to have quit, and I'm left feeling lonely and frustrated and add to that some terribly obnoxious trolls on the server making it even less inviting.... add to that some real life tooth issues, some depression I have been battling for a few weeks, and people messing with my heads, blaming me for being rude and dramatic and I had absolutely no idea where that came from, dropped on me like a ton of bricks, and just having an all around poopy week myself. I also suffer from a variety of PTSD, currently taking some EMDR therapy one a week to help treat it. I know it'll get better eventually, always does, but right now life feels pretty poopy. I wish I was happier. I like your rambling videos. It would make me a little happier if you make a video on what goes on behind the scenes.

I understand. Those meltdowns can take a lot of a person. I've only aspergers so I cannot say I understand 100%. I do know one thing: People don't take these sort of problems seriously when people like us say it bothers us... Like... This is something we're used to, that's changing. I don't know.. It's a big fucking deal when something changes. To others, it's not. I will never understand how others can deal with things like that so easily. I'm rambling now, hah. I'm sorry about your favorite server having so many issues. Hopefully those changes will resolve themselves and you'll be back to your normal comfortable gaming self. Oh the theme of being rude... I'm SO sorry to hear that. People keep saying the same shit about me. It's so isolating. I'm not rude, in my mind. I'm sorry to hear other people have this same issue... Trying one's best to be "normal" in public and still being called "rude"... it's difficult, and causes me to... dissect myself mentally for hours. What does it take to become a "likable" guy? Hang in there.

You're a great person Boogie. I'll be honest, I subbed to you back when you posted "WoW Freakout" but never really watched your videos after that. Watching this makes me realize why I subscribed to you back in the day when I was a kid, you're just a genuinely good person man. I'm seeing some negative comments on this video about you complaining, and it just pisses me off. People don't understand how hard it is to keep a huge KZbin account active. You keep doing you, you haven't changed a bit brother. Depression, and anxiety comes and go, but you just have to wake up and CHOOSE to be happy, that's what I do. My family and being outside makes me the happiest. See you around man!

What makes me happy ??? Well Boogie, of late it has been Magic Duels. I'm often finding new ways to kill time in an enjoyable way so recently I tried to learn about MTG. I never got into it or even around it as a kid and thought it may something I could explore on my iPAd. And hey , I found Magic Duels. Then a friend noticed me playing it and said I needed to watch this crazy Francis video. So now two things make me happy. MTG and after clicking on a bunch of other of his videos I feel like I made a new friend. A dude that makes fairly hilarious rage videos and also takes time to share some of his personal life. So thanx dude. Even with just the Francis stuff you made KZbin a funnier place. With your ability to share honestly, you have made it a better place. Rock on!!!

Boogie, on the off chance you read this -- I've had depression and social anxiety all my life and lately everything I've been avoiding is catching up with me, I might literally be homeless in two weeks, let alone do any KZbin stuff. Things aren't looking good, but you've gone through a lot of the same stuff and not only made it through but became so successful. You have no idea how inspiring that is. You asked what makes me happy -- THAT'S what makes me happy. The idea that maybe I won't fail. I know, I know that no amount of success or money or fame or whatever, can make it go away, and sometimes you're still going to have those hard days, but people like me NEED people like you to keep going and stay strong. It's selfish, I want it for you but I want it for me even more. I want to know that this isn't a death sentence, that someone else can make it through and I can too. I'm sorry for rambling, I know you're a busy guy, I just wanted to tell you to stay strong and push those hard days/weeks off your shoulders. You know what, forget about finding a career that you enjoy, some people don't even know what they enjoy doing in general. I actually don't know what I enjoy in this world. I've done a lot of things, and I don't particularly enjoy any of it. Even the hobbies that I have are very mildly enjoyable at best. It all starts with identifying what in life actually makes you happy for a prolonged period of time (because anyone can enjoy something for 5 minutes or an hour). I'm 29, and I have yet to identify that aspect of my life, and to be honest, as clueless as I still am, I don't know if I'll ever find something that truly makes me happy.

A break is well deserved, and I don't think anyone who's a fan would be upset about lack of content from you when you're always coming across as so giving and positive. Be well dude. In regards to the end of your video, what makes me happy is knowing that I have KZbin & Twitch to turn to after I come home from work, and get to express my creativity after working 9 - 10 hr days (sometimes sacrificing entire weekends to my normal job, which means no time for me to spend with my fiancee). You and the guys at Kinda Funny are the most positive people on this platform in my opinion, and I'll continue to support you in your journey.

Australia isnt that great. We have a massive suicide rate for men and women. I think its 34 men a day if I remember rightly that commit suicide. Those figures are horrid and to get disability is a fucking joke. Im going for my disability because I want to work but cant work full time due to my diseases and mental health issues. They have knocked me back 8 times so far due to the fact they said that some of my disabilities arent life threatening but with mine because they are extreme cases they wont even budge. I have been told by my doctor I could die easily due to health complications but Im too stubborn to die lol. Its becoming more of a problem for anyone who has mental health issues. I have even been told to get over it and be grateful my arms work most times......

Are you fucking serious? I'll start this off like this. You are not a real fan of this guy so you probably don't know jack shit about him, But he has had a rough life. I believe in one video he said his mother almost scratched out his eye in a car as a child and he had to jump out of the car to save his eye and even his life which is something nobody should have to go through. But let's see things in your view. I lived in a very poor family and have been abused but since i'm not being tortured or stabbed or starving I cannot say those are problems in my life and I can't talk about them with the people I love or just people in general otherwise i'm being a self loathing pussy first world cunt? If that's really how you see the world, Get help. You're either too dumb to care for others or too much of an edgy shit head narcissistic fuck. He's not complaining about life, He's talking about the problems he has faced recently with his fans but somehow that's self loathing and complaining about life? Those problems you mentioned are a problem and are fucked up and need to be eradicated, But because they exist nobody can talk about their problems they're facing because those problems exist? OF COURSE those problems are important but because they are I cannot say me being abused in the past in my life was a problem or a struggle? That's the dumbest and most PC bullshit i'v ever heard. We are humans, We should care for one another, Not compare who's life is worse then someone else's. Also what else kinda pisses me off is how you act like you care about those problems and see how bad they really are but I bet you're doing jack shit to change them. Those problems can be solved by force and will and peace and many other ways. But only if you stop sitting on your ass typing up PC bullshit and actually help make a change. Of course those problems can be talked about and need to be talked about but don't use them for your own gain in an argument or point of view against someone else just because you don't like them. No you're not just a hater, You're an idiotic asshole who doesn't know the first thing about the real world or people's problems and feelings or Boogie2988 at all. There are no such thing as 'first world problems' if you mean in it as a way of judgment towards people who live in a first world country. Everyone has problems in their life and has struggles. Big or small they are struggles and problems. Some of those problems can be solved and some cannot. Just because they're not as worse as torture or getting stabbed in the dick for example doesn't mean they're not problems and struggles. That is fucking idiotic to think that way. I think if you think about it enough you'll agree, Cause otherwise using your logic you have never had any struggles or problems in your life and you can never say you have. We've all faced struggles in our lives. Again, Little or small, Hard or easy they are still struggles and problems you had, are having or might have. I could say alot more about your ignorant piece of shit comment that was either a dumb thought from the top of your head or a piece dog shit on the side of the road you found and you thought about posting it, Either way I honestly suggest you change your views, They're very dumb and ignorant. Probably the most dumbest and most ignorant shit i'v seen in these comments. Rant over? Seeing someone as ignorant as you you're probably gonna reply to this with another dumb shitty PC reply like "YOU'RE A FIRST WORLD IDIOTIC FUCK WHO DOESN'T KNOW REAL PROBLEMS OR STRUGGLES" or completely block me. All that I need to know is people don't take after your idiotic ignorant piece of shit views.

My job makes me HAPPY, i'm a dog-trainer. Really wanna give you a quick little tip regarding Sammy getting sick in the car. Make sure he isn't excited and all hyped up. He should be calm and relaxed when going on car-rides. I have this one dog in my pack that I train, also named Sammie, and he used to throw up EVERY.SINGLE.TIME when his family took him for rides in the car... sigh... He was always very excited about going out, tail wagging like crazy, very forward and leading the owner up to the car. I was successful in helping them calm him down, or rather teach THEM how to keep him calm. I take him on the bus every single day now, several times a day, he has only thrown up twice during these two years since i've had him. Hope you read this, Boogie. Really want to make things a lil' bit easier for you and your wife

for your insurance, boogie, thousands saw their rates hiked or lost coverage completely. I'm glad you're getting care, but its been done at a horrible cost. Imagine what my household could do with the $10,000 I would have had by the end of this year except for the ACA. Maybe I could have a pet, buy a big comfortable chair just-cuz, or take everyone on a week-long vacation to a lake, or maybe even buy a house... all things you've done while getting great care, working one job; while I have none of those things, have mediocre care, working two. I love you boogie, and you can see the massive inequity when we pay for your self-inflicted health conditions.
@ericeinarson66548 жыл бұрын
"You can see the massive inequity when we pay for your self-inflicted health conditions" Seems a bit heartless, no offence. Everyone needs to pitch in to pay their fair share and help to make sure no one falls in-between the cracks in our society. Obama wasn't that great a president, and his reforms to healthcare have barely scratched the surface, but healthcare in America is definitely better than it was a few years ago. Still, the US has a pretty screwed healthcare system, down-right primitive by 1st world standards; countries like Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Switzerland, Norway etc have free healthcare that allows pretty much everyone of every social class to have access to healthcare. Don't see why Americans are so against health-care reform.
@StopmotionNmotion8 жыл бұрын
Eric Einárson proof that the healthcare industry has improved, please. also evidence for it being "downright primitive". It is the best in the world. More advancements and better technology available more widely than maybe anywhere else. Certainly better than the NHS, which is in big trouble. Instead everyone is paying more, and only a few are getting care that didn't before. And no, no one is responsible for anyone else. If you fall through the cracks its on you. And it works because if everyone does their "fair share", then everyone has what they need... no redistribution necessary. Individual liberty and liberal government means more personal autonomy and accountability, not less. What might also be heartless is the money I am out because of the ACA. I don't think boogie owes me anything for my household, but that's why no owes him anything either. I love him and I'm glad he's still around. I just want it to be understood that the law isn't something that went right.
@ericeinarson66548 жыл бұрын
Pebbles The fact is, the US spends 17% of its GDP on healthcare, and yet 1/6 of Americans are un-insured, and you still don't have universal healthcare like a lot of other 1st world nations. By contrast, countries like Australia and the UK spend as little as 9-10% of their GDP on healthcare, and yet they DO have universal healthcare. ie. You are paying more for healthcare and you get less. "What is heartless is the money I am out because of the ACA".- I'm sorry but that is the most bullshit statement I've ever heard. "I'm a middle class American and I'm upset because the government is making me pay taxes", is essentially what it translates to. And then you blame poor people for being poor and say they don't deserve access to affordable healthcare? Seriously... The fact is, if you neglect to help people who fall in-between the cracks, it creates bigger problems for society as a whole. Its that sort of mentality that creates inequality, raises crime and breeds poverty. Why is the US more impoverished than the UK, Australia, Switzerland, I wonder?
@StopmotionNmotion8 жыл бұрын
Eric Einárson "taxes" can be anything. the concept, by itself, is not inherently virtuous or right. it is a thing that must be done correctly. I have a household I am responsible for. It is a purely charitable pursuit, and as I said, I can't afford much more than the essentials while paying the tax you deem so worthy. I am only not poor because I choose not to be. Poverty in a 1st world country is a choice, or more accurately, the lack of good ones. you're going to look at what boogie has (for example) compared to me and tell me taxing me for his healthcare is not an inequity? if you're so concerned about people falling through the cracks, what about the people under my care? there are more of them, and depend entirely on my money, so who should have it? them or adults who are better equipped to care for themselves? My dependents are exactly the ones I"m supposed to prevent from falling through the cracks. On what basis do you prioritize a self-inflicted unhealthy adult over them? Heartless indeed. I don't begrudge boogie making more than me. You make what your skills are worth. Simply keeping what I am worth is all I am interested in. Also, you've not provided evidence of your claims yet. For instance, is what Aus pays the percentage of GDP or tax revenue. Add one more: that the US is more impoverished than most.
@imaplague8 жыл бұрын
Austrailia GDP percentage for health care : More than $120 billion! Australia spent $121.4 billion on health in 2009-10, which accounted for 9.4% of total spending on all goods and services in the economy (known as gross domestic product or GDP). This averaged out to $5,479 per person. America has the highest rate tied with Korea, of people not being able to afford enough food to feed themselves with 16% answering yes. America also had the 8th highest unemployment rating with 9%. Sources: The C.I.A's "The World Factbook" , U.S Unemployment rate from the Bureau of Labour Statistics.

I don't know if I'm ever really happy. The times I might be happy seems so random and I have to wonder if it's a defense mechanism to keep me from getting too negative. It's like euphoria just kicks in for no reason. The sadness I can point to a trigger - a chain of memories or ideas. Happiness, no clue. Things that trigger childhood memories can help with my mood - anything I watched as a kid. In general, my life is improving. I'm getting better pay after 2 years of unemployment or underemployment. I'm slowly getting caught up on debts. I'm working as a contractor now, and the pay each week varies depending on the status of projects to be completed. I might work 1 day or 5 days. This week I worked 4 days and each day included 3 hours and about 170 miles of driving (one way) and I get paid for all of the miles and extra hours for driving - 12 hour days. (I haven't calculated the final total for the week yet.) However, personal life sucks. Almost every person I've met outside of work has let me down or treated me like ****. Co-workers usually have their own lives outside of work - family, kids, wives, girl-friends. I do pretty much everything on my own because there isn't anyone I can ask to join me. ...and I don't really get along with my parents. Right now, I think I've rambled enough. I didn't mean to hijack the discussion here. I guess I just needed an outlet and it's ended up wherever I ended up writing whether it was here, Google+ update, Twitter (using Twitlonger) or a blog which I haven't posted to in several months. Despite the various problems, I'm glad you're doing OK in general.

It makes it much easier especially if you drive to wherever you go (flying you'd probably still have to rent) and there are so many different types that you should be able to try before you buy, which means you can find the kind of scooter that suits you best.
