"Remember the part in First Blood when Rambo kills 137 cops?" Believe it or not, in the novel that the movie is based on, Rambo is a deranged, psychopathic maniac who kills MANY, MANY cops and innocent civilians. And he dies at the end. And the book explains that he not only accepts but fully embraces his death because he wants to die. The novel is extremely dark.

Yeah, it's a really fucked up novel. Very dark and disturbing. Originally, they were going to make the movie follow the book, but they thought it was way too dark and that the ending was way too depressing. So, they gave John Rambo a more sympathetic personality and attitude and made him and the sheriff survive at the end. (The sheriff dies at the end of the book too). In fact, they even filmed an end scene where Rambo is killed by Colonel Trautman, but changed it. That unused footage of Rambo being shot by Trautman was later used in the nightmare/flashback sequence in Rambo 4. It would be interesting to see a "reboot" made, but following the storyline of the novel. It would be a much more realistic representation of what would actually happen if a veteran snapped and went on a rampage. And movie audiences now a days are more accustom to dark, bleak movies that lack a "happy ending". It would be really cool to get a dark reboot based on the book!

Yeah, guess Bioshock Infinite did not sell well enough and lack of muiltplayer did not help either. I liked Bioshock 2 for multiplayer even though it was rough around the edges. The good thing is there are plenty of new games coming out. I am currently playing Titanfall and Battlefield 4 on PC. Titanfall is faster than COD. Using a gamepad on it right now. Works great on PC. I am happy new PC games are allowing gamepads to be used with aim assist. I don't like using the keyboard for gaming if I don't have too. I have been playing consoles forever and just moved to PC. I love the control of a mouse but hate the odd keyboard controls for most games.

what if i told you, Joe that there is a good version of this game. The truth about this game is that it is an arcade port. In my country there is a mall arcade that has this exact game in a version with rifles. You aim at the screen with the rifle and its actually realy fun. Its obvious though that : 1. Its a bad port 2. Production quality still sucks But the arcade version is still a lot more fun than this.

The reason it's rated 6/10 on Steam is because the game was made free with the Baker Team update. Huge difference to paying $40. It still has a few issues though, crashes every now and then, and definitely can get boring since it is a shooting gallery. But, at least it is free now. I think that's the best thing they could have done. I actually wanted to try out Ride to Hell and experience how bad it was myself. But I can't do that since Steam removed it completely. At least with Rambo I can have that experience at no cost.

I would've rather seen a Rambo game using the far cry engine. That to me, makes more sense. That engine allows you to hide in foliage and use the environment to blend in, use different knife skills, and not to mention a bow with explosive arrows. After all, the engine did a pretty good job with the Vietnam mod.
