Yes, I agree with you. It´s actually my favorite song. By the way, in Sweden we have an old folk song, where an old fisherman sings about his wife. He describes her as very pretty woman when she was young, but nowadays "the ugliest old hag on the Käringön". Käringön is hard to translate, but "ön" means the island (of), and "käring" is an old ugly hag. The swedish song goes in the end: "But still I think she is beautiful". Rammsteins text is almost a copy. Till Lindemann describes his love as so ugly that she doesn´t dare to go outside in daytime, and he ask the "morgenstern" (the morning star) to shine some light on her in the night time, when she dares to go out. And he end his song with: "And still I think she is wunderbar". "Wunderbar" is "beautiful" in english. Maybe this is the most fantastic love song of all times, he don´t care about her apperance, he still loves her.

Other great songs besides "Morgenstern" that have only been performed on this tour are the awesome "Los" and the powerful "Stein Um Stein", which is in a lot of fans top 5 Rammstein songs. Accept nothing but the Volkerball version for live performances of it

"Wärmt die Brust mir bebt, wo das Leben schlägt, mit dem Herzen sehen, sie ist wunderschön" "It warms my trembling chest Where life beats Seeing with the heart She is beautiful" My interpretation is that He is asking the morning star to make her beautiful and she also pleads for beauty...but not because she's ugly or deformed because it's dealing with body dysmorphia and/or what society views as being beautiful, ugly, plain, average etc. So the morning star instead of shining on her, it shines on him..where it warms up his heart his feelings and so before he only saw with his eyes but now he sees with his heart and soul and realizes that she is beautiful 😍❤️

You have to either understand the lyrics or to read a translation. That song is a real tear jerker as the emotions it causes are so powerful. The juxtaposition of despair and shame on one part, malicious hatred and rejection in the middle, and love and hope on the other part is incredible. Rammstein does a lot of creepy song, but this one is like a cathedral.

Fantastic reaction. I have the DVD, it was the first concert DVD/CD that I watched. The whole concert is amazing. I'm not sure if you'll be able to find it on KZbin, but Du Riechst So Gut live from Völkerball is a great song. I was amazed the first time that I saw it. Just be careful when searching for it, if you do decide to react to it, because there's a Rammstein tribute band that is called Völkerball as well. If cookies are ever in the budget my favorite kind is oatmeal raisin 🤣🤣. I hope you both have a great weekend.
