Maybe did you take note this show has been recorded in the Palais Omnisports de Bercy (today Hotel Accord Arena) where Mylène Farmer used to set her many shows in Paris (either in tours or residence) from 1989 to 2013. She changed for Paris La Défense Arena (the biggest European sport and concert hall) until now. Even if the audience is probably a mix between Ramstein fans from many places in Europe, the main part is from France and you already had a taste of the passion french people are able to express for their idols… ;) We love sing along and even louder than the artist on stage him/herself !

Probably the only band that can get a crowd of Frenchmen in Paris to sing along with them in German. The singer is also a certified pyrotechnician. He can set this up safely so the audience is in no real danger. He gets himself burned fairly often, but apparently according to his bandmates, he likes the pain. he also once had a hole surgically cut through his cheek so they could fit a light inside his mouth for a creepy effect during a video, and liked it so much that he kept doing it during several concerts until he got an infection.

"Du hast" is a German homophone (two words with different spellings, different meanings, but sounding identical). Depending on the conjugation it is either "You have" or "You hate". So in this case it depends very much on the ending of the sentence to identify the meaning of the first part of the sentence. In the lyrics "Du hast mich" could mean "You have me" or "You hate me", if you only listen to the possible homophones. Only when the sentence is extended to "Du hast mich gefragt" it becomes clear, as it means "You have asked me". Sadly this works only in German as the placement of the verb and the pronoun is different in English. This pertains to the marriage question, and he answers it with "Und ich hab nichts gesagt." = "And I have said nothing" Yes, the lyrics do pertain to the German version of the standard wedding vows. But they get quite saucy later on. "Willst du treue sein für alle Tage?" = "Will you be faithful for all days?" Answered by several, very emphatic "NEIN!" = "NO!" in the chorus. Also "Willst du treue sein, bis das der Tod euch scheide?" = "Will you be faithful until Death do you part?" is also answered with "NO" But later in the song, another homophone is sneakily inserted which even many German speakers haven't noted upon. It is "Willst du bist zum Tod der Scheide, sie lieben auch in schlechten Tagen?" = "Will you, until the death of the vagina, love her even in bad days?" Because in this case the verb "scheiden" = "to part or to split" is identical in the conjugation "scheide" with the noun "Die Scheide" as in the vagina (homophone again). It sounds exactly the same and is only identified by the article directly in front of it as a noun. Next little joke, "in schlechten Tage" is both simply "the bad days" as well as "die Tage haben" = "having your period". So this can be very, umm, delicate. So, he is asking, if he will love her vagina even during a bad period. You be my guest at how you want to interpret the meaning. ;-)

The punching the ground is named "The Till Hammer", he has a knee injury from his time as an olympic swimmer (that is what stopped his carreer), and his knee cap once dislocated on stage (which is very painful BTW), he hammered it back in place. The rest of the band thought it looked cool, and thus The Till Hammer was invented. The rockets are on a wire. He is a pyrotechnician, but most of the pyros are designed/made by a company named FFP in cooperation with Till. They had a guest guitarist from one of the large American metal bands (I forget which, watch the documentary, where Iggy Pop says they are too loud even with earplugs, Stephen Tyler said he roasted marshmellows and Chad Smith from RHCP says to NEVER go on stage after Rammstein and tells some stories of his experiences with them), he WAS assigned and X on stage and told not to move- which he wisely did not. And yes you want to go to their concerts, make sure to get tickets for the "Feuerzone" in the front, where you get a little armband at the end saying "I survived first row at a Rammstein concert" :D
@Costanza.Tedesco5 ай бұрын

Visually, sonically, and with innuendo. It's artistry at it fullest. They refused to preform in the US early on for thier shocking prefomances and negative backlash with Nazi references. Which they pushed back against with music that was successful. I cannot stress enough what they do to push envelope. From the piano version of Mein Herz Brennt to something like Buch Dich. I saw them live in The Globe in stockholm on their Reise Reise tour and when everybody came out you could see on faces on us who stood in the front that our faces had turned slightly red from all the pyrontechnics, it was awesome!

I just saw them live and this in not a special occasion, they do this act every single show and everytime it gets better. That's why it's not cheap haha. But also worth the 70 euros. The reason I went to see them was because of their Paris DVD. I saw them in Prague and yes, he shoots that. And the fire is not only on the stage,they have fire in the back crowd synced with the stage. The confetti blows up from everywhere, not just stage. You owe it to yourself, you have to see them live. This is how amazing their concerts are, I live in Austria and it's a small country. The reason I saw them in Prague is because they had two dates there and ik Germany and Austria the tickets sold out within minutes. That's how insane their concerts are that they sell out immediately.

On an interview with Till, he said that they use approximately 250 gallons of propane per show. Epic

there were already concerts of Rammstein where a no-fly zone was made over the concert area to not irritate airplanes because Rammstein uses a lot of pyrotechnics and this is very big ^^
@Kiterou4 жыл бұрын
I don't know all the technical details of the last stunt, but if you look closely, you can see that after he shoots his set of fireworks, another matching set is lit up. That set is led by (steel?) cables to rush over the head of the audience. When it reaches the other end of the stadium, a third set of fireworks (the sparkling ones) rushes back on their own cables. It's really awesomely timed to look like they set the next one off. :)

These guys are all very fit. The keyboard guy because he is on a treadmill all the time and the audience because they sometimes have to run as they are occasionally shot at with a rocket launcher. But seriously, they have to be good with these pyrotechnics because they are now around for quite a while and still alive.

The guy on the treadmill is accomodated because he's a hyperactive weasel (his own words!), he hates standing still, sot he band did their best to accomodate his urge to move. And using such extensive pyrotech is usually frowned upon at least. BUT: Till, the singer of Rammstein, is professional pyrotechnician. Everything with fire that the band does, is planed, supervised, tested and checked by him personally.

To fully understand this song you have to know german Du - you Du hast - you have Du hasst mich (with double "s") - you hate me Du hast mich gefragt - you asked me And in the middle of the song the orginial lyrics is "willst du bis der Tod uns scheidet" (do you want till death do us part) but he was singing "...bis zum Tod der Scheide" which literally means "...until the death of the vagina"

You put the good question: "is it legal?" :) Yes of course and you can imagine the security condition on the contract must be insane. Everything is well planned. And to be honnest this thing is not really the first question I had about the security question when I saw them on this tour. To come on stage, they have a big heavy bridge which go up and down above the public, they arrive from the back of the crowd, and cross it. (sorry if my explanation is not so clear, my english is quite bad, you should watch it to understand). Concerning this pyrotechnic effect on "Du Hast", there are cables and the fireworks follow those cables, but it's still amazing when you're in the public. Rammstein is the most amazing shows I saw. I was on this concert (well, maybe this day or the other, it was recorded in Paris on 2 days), saw them multiple times, always an insane show. My opinion: a little bit to much post production, it's already awesome for real, not necessary to had more (flash when Flake plays the keyborad riff for example are added on post production)

Love this reaction, I know the song...I heard it when I was younger... YOU never heard it LIVE and with Rammstein's own pyro additions so you never really experienced this before (LOL). This entire concert is amazing and you need to check out some of the other stuns they have done on stage to "enlighten" their songs!!!!! Great reaction guys and if you ever get the chance after this pandemic to see them LIVE please go it is an experience. I have taken people to see them who are not even into rock let alone metal who just loved the show presentations of this band.

Has anyone searched for Rammstein Norway 2022? the newer shows they tour with are incredible. The biggest shows on wheels. everything you see on the scene belongs to Ramnstein. You must listen. 1. Deutschland. 2. America. 3. Ramstein.

The reason that the Keyboarder(his name is Flake) is walking all the time is because it was his thing back in the early days of Rammstein. Whenever they were bored some people play video games etc. and Flake was walking around in the Cities they were playing. Hope you understand what i meant. English is not my native language

Was in row zero in munich the FireZone, should watch the vidoes 2023 with expolidong towers :-) He shoots rockets, the other rockets are attached to wires going to the towers and back, as soon as they get back explosions start and a fan blows tons of😀 black paper stripes in the air.
