@xOperationxMinecraft Hyperspeed increases the highway speed. As a result the notes APPEAR to be spread out more, but you still have to hit them at the same time. I basically use it because when I see too many notes on the highway at once I have a hard time focusing on what I'm supposed to be hitting. Sometimes I start to hit the next note too early, etc. By having hyperspeed on 3 or 4 on only a few sets of notes appear on the highway at once..

No Hyperspeed only affects the highway speed. Basically it just spreads out the notes, putting less notes on the highway at once, and increasing the speed that the note comes at you which gives you less time to hit the note after you see it appear. You still hit all the notes at the exact same time when it comes down to it. To better see what I'm talking about do a side by side of a song without hyperspeed and one of my videos of the same songs WITH hyperspeed.

Easier songs like this I tend to get 100% the first try but sometimes I'll re-do them for a better score with a different star path. At this point I had been playing Guitar Hero since it came out in Dec 2005 (so almost 5 years) and had been playing other Guitar rhythm games for a total of 11+ years already. (I previously used to play Guitar Freaks at the arcade) Anyone can be good at guitar hero. Reaction time naturally gets better the more you play.

Well that too. Basically what it does is it spreads out all of the notes much further apart than before, then the highway scroll speed increases. Because of those two things you have less time to react and hit the note when you first see the note appear on the highway. There's something more similar to what you're talking about in Beatmania where you simply have less time to react to seeing a note because you only see half the screen, but notes are in the same spot. Everything is shifted in HS.

@MrStompstar I just got used to doing it. There were times when I'd play Guitar Hero for 8 hours straight a few years ago so I got used to sitting so I could play for longer without getting tired. It's just a matter of preference. It's also easier for me to play harder songs since I can solo without the guitar moving around a ton if I'm in that position.

@HOLaudio :sigh: Ok in GH3 yes it was located in the "cheats" section, but they moved that in the newer guitar heroes because it's not considered a "cheat" in the competition world. All guitar hero tournaments allow Hyperspeed to be used. It does not make it any easier. It's all a matter of preference. Some of my friends fail out the instant I put hyperspeed on. They just can't react to seeing the note that fast. It's a matter of preference. Not everyone can use it. I can play with it on or off.

When this was recorded I used a pinnacle dazzle (which sucked) but now I use the AVerMedia Game Capture HD. It's about $150 plus the cost of an external hard drive (cost depends on how big of one you get, mine was 500GB for about $100 or so I think. Can't remember)

I do play standing sometimes. If you look at my other videos I have ones of me playing standing up too. It depends on the day and how long I'm playing for. If I'm playing one song I play standing, if I'm playing a ton (I recorded over 30 in one day, and this was part of that setlist) then I sit because it's more comfortable for me in the long run.

@jaketheauroran It's not "hair triggered" I just rest my palm on the button to activate it like most of the pro players do. My tilt sensor is broke so I have to activate using the select button. Basically either I use my palm or my pinky depending on how I'm strumming, but mostly I just hit it with my palm. I have never owned a pedal because they're not allowed in tournaments so it'd be a waste of money for me.

@jckulewsky It spaces out the notes AND gives you less time to react to the note. You have 1/4 as much time to hit the note when you see it which means it increases your reaction time. I can play without it too and have videos of me doing so, but I have been using hyperspeed in games ever since 1998 for Dance Dance Revolution so anything slower than x3 looks extremely slow to me. I prefer hyperspeed because I prefer to only see the next few notes, not 20-30 of them on the highway at once.

@blade3337 There's only 1 Rammstein Song in this version. Du Hast is in GH5 if I remember correctly. The game normally is about $60 new but you can find it used for $30-$40 probably or even less. This version of GH is pretty good though. There's some good DLC out there as well. ^_^

@patr7263 Speed hack? Have you played this game? It's called Hyperspeed. It's an option in every version of Guitar Hero. All it does is increase the speed of the highway making the notes come at you faster. It can be found in Guitar Hero by going into the Options > Extras > Hyperspeed menus at the Character Select screen.

@RIGENSTEIN GH is on hiatus. It will be back in a year or two. They've already confirmed another Guitar Hero, just not for a while. I don't ONLY play Guitar Hero, I've always played several other games at once so it's not like my life is over because there's no new GH games for a bit. I still play GH when I feel like it, same with rock band. If anything I'm just working on Rocksmith right now. I still compete in Guitar Hero and Rock Band tournaments. I have 2 competitions this week actually. ^_^

@AceAngel991 Thank you. It just takes time and a lot of practice. This song is easy for me because I've been playing Guitar rhythm games since 1999 and Guitar Hero specifically since 2005. The more you play the better you'll get at it. Keep up with the hard work and you'll get there! Playing on PC with a keyboard is very hard and takes longer to perfect than guitar in my opinion so it's mostly just going to be practicing a lot.

If you put it on 4 like I play on right away you're going to not be used to the notes moving so fast and you'll probably fail out pretty quick. heh

@cuainas I personally use the Guitar Hero 3 Les Paul for both Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Which guitar you use is personal preference but myself as well as many GH pros all tend to agree that the GH3 Les Paul is the best guitar to use. The downside to the GH3 guitar is that it's hard to find NEW since it's so old. The GH: World Tour and GH5 guitars aren't bad either, and they're a bit more common. You can always use a Rock Band 2 guitar as well. They're not horrible, I just don't like them.
