Jones vs Liddell in their respective primes would have been a fun fight to watch. I pick Jon, but Chuck would have been a very live underdog! Unlike Rampage, and DC, Chuck had some brutal leg kicks and he was hard to take down and keep down! Very fun fight.

All respect to Chuck but John’s striking/wrestling is so dangerous in combination because he was blessed with great reflexes and long ass limbs. Most guys with arms that long are clumsy, but John has so much athleticism and creativity in his fighting. He can watch something and mimic it in minutes. John would have taken chuck down easily and if he couldn’t he would have used his wrestling to dirty box him along the cage the same way Randy Couture was able to do with great success. Hands down 10 out of 10 times John wins that fight within the first 2 rounds. People forget that John’s wrestling is so good for MMA partly because of his natural gifts but mainly because it’s Greco, and Greco compliments his physique so well. Most other mma wrestlers are coming from a mainly folk style, but look at the success of Randy and John with their Greco. I feel like that wrestling style allows wrestlers to transition into striking very smoothly because it doesn’t take much to teach them how to implement dirty boxing while controlling the positioning with Greco. They don’t even have to take you down to finish an opponent. Just collar ties, and neck control to uppercuts. Randy did it so beautifully
