Kinda feel like Marle's cold 4-bet to 500 is a bit nuts, as she even noticed herself Rampage has been pretty passive out of SB so his range should be tighter then normal and then she chooses a 4 bet sizing that's very polarizing with a hand that's very much not polarized in that situation, I feel like if you're going to 4-bet in that situation you should really go under 3x, maybe 2.5x, with this sizing you're not really allowing him to speculate with weaker holdings(which considering the range of a cold 4-bet you probably don't mind too much) and kinda hand cuffing yourself to a call if they jam. Thoughts?
@d4ba19
@d4ba19 3 жыл бұрын
rampage is capable of spazzing with worse. I think her play is fine being a cold 4-bet and her hand isn't KK+ to click back pre and feel great on most flop run outs even in position. Her line is fine, it got the fold from the opposition...that's +EV
@bonniedinkis

Cold 4bets aren’t polar. They are (should be) linear. At this depth, 3x is normal
@Yerbderb

Scrolled through the comments hoping to see something like this. The 4bet is fine, but sizing is dumb. She gives rampage an easy decision while sacrificing more chips than necessary when she gets jammed on. She’s tripping if she thinks rampage’s fold is tight

Much respect to everyone who played but Landon is on a whole other level. It’s like watching an NBA player play against high school players in terms of the skill gap. I think a big takeaway is no matter how much “live experience” you have, it’s hard to compete with someone who has grinded sims and has a very strong theoretical base.

Trevor calling A9 suited "too strong to fold" to a preflop raise, out of position...is simply terrible

$70 more playing this stack size is fine to call with a suited ace, plus ethan has shown he can 3 bet light and trevor theoretically shouldn't be folding very often to a 3-bet with his UTG raising range

mea...well it would be in your $1/2 game. Trevor is a beast. Daylight between him, Landon and the rest. Any time his line differs from what you think is right you prolly just want to ask yourself what you can learn from it.

@@karlseastrand7678 learned from it through experience that I'm dominated with far more aces in this spot than is worth a call. One response above is that "look how deep they are" merely means to me "look how great reverse implied odds are." An argument to club draw, which would occur a statistically improbable # of times, is the only reason to peel here. 4 bet or fold Trevor...I give him more credit than this, I too have watched his vlogs. Maybe he was going for "play ____ amount of hands."

@@meadydoheny as I said it is a fold in a $1/2 or tight $2/5 game (at less than 130 or maybe 200BB) but there are many reasons he needs to call in this particular game a big one being he needs to widen his 3B calling range or these opponents may exploit his more narrow range. Also, not in this vlog but in this exact game (shown in another vlog) he mentions that he is opening pretty wide UTG which means he needs to defend wider vs a 3B. What you choose to open dictates the hands you need to defend with and Trevor is well aware of this , hence his defend to a 3B with A9s.
