PleasantKenobi that's what I had thought plus it's a 4/3 for 3 with a great ability by the way I think you should take a look at Erie Interlude for you death and taxes deck it can essentially flicker all your creatures until the beginning of the next end step and is great for insult to injury by flickering eternal witnesses and flicker wisps

It's also targeted so you can flicker your splicers without flickering the token One more thing if you flicker you creatures with the Erie interlude you can sit back and laugh are you cast your $.20 rare and destroy the world with a wrath effect so your creatures are fine while the enemies enter the 5P territory

I think your build is a bit awkward. You should pick either aether vial or Coco. I also suggest running some Renegade Rallier. He can bring back ghost quarters and he is really good with blink effect.

+Suppanat Kosolwattana Aether Vial is a necessity for the deck, whilst Collected Company sites up huge holes in some of the matchups. I'm very happy with that aspect of the deck. However I agree that a Vial based D&T deck may not be the best place for Magus of the Crucible.

Any room for perhaps a 1 of Renegade Rallier in the deck? They do miss most of the important creatures at 3cmc, but getting back cat jesus or ghost quarter/horizon canopy can be some extra value. Just perhaps might not always be useful when you draw it, I suppose.

SHOOOOTYMU. I probably would have gone with max value on that planeswalker attack on the logic that if if works, great, and if he disrupts it, you were probably toast that game no matter what. When you're behind you need ways to reverse course, not just hang in there or else you're just losing more slowly.

+Richard Adams I guess without an active Displacer, Snake is more consistent on its own. In a vacuum. But Rallier is more aggressive and versatile being able to get Cats, Thalias and Voices.

Something about Standard right now made me consider R/G Ramunap or maybe R/G/B builds. Modern should open that up a fair bit, and I won't lie and say I've payed too much attention to the decks in that format. This means I see that it's very possible I'm wrong about the correct color spread there.

I think you should side X instead of main deck since he's only good in a number of matchups. Main 1 if you feel like it, but more than that seems like it'll cost you games where he's an inflatable snake and not a solid one.
