We aren't owed statements or anything from any of the ccs, nor should we be pressuring anyone to make a statement. We weren't effected directly, we don't even know either person. Please don't be parasocial about this, as these are real people going through a really sad, tough situation. I'm not really great with words, but I would like to say that supporting victims is always the right thing to do, and we should always encourage people to speak up if they have been abused/feel as though they have been abused (it can be hard to speak up, and sometimes as a victim, you're not sure if you will be treated seriously or with kindness and understanding). What we shouldn't be doing is saying we'll "drop" this cc if they don't address this immediately, if they don't talk about this, if they don't post about their own feelings or how they approach the new information. This isn't about cancelling someone, this is domestic violence.

i found out abt the whole wilbur thing from my drum/bass teacher. I walked into the practice room and he said “been a rough week for lovejoy fans huh”. I stared at him blankly bc i had been taking a break from social media. i asked what happened and he told he it was bad.
