The 80's was my favorite decade for guitar. It was fun and just magical

When this came out, I loved it. But in 1988 as still a young teen, I got into Metal. And, for my 'metal' friends, Def Leppard were 'posers', so I couldn't admit I liked it...😅 It's funny to remember the stupid things you did as a kid to fit in with a group... This song, and many Def Leppard songs are Fun to play, just fun. And you're right, there's So many guitars overlaid, even with 2 guitars, you pick the most prominent parts, and when you play it by yourself, you just play it so it sounds right to the listeners. Yet another great lesson of a great song, killing it Marty, just smashing it out of the park.🤘

You're story about the the song reminds a bit of my experience too. It was about 3 years after its release that I finally got into the album Hysteria and got past the hype and fact it was everywhere. I really learned a lot from that album all around. 🎸🤘😎

Very cool, Def Leppard riffs always sound huge! Thanks Marty! I just noticed that chorus sounds exactly like Joan Jett - I Love Rock n' Roll 🙂

I really enjoy your lessons thank you! Not only do you pick great songs, but you explain everything well including background and in between stuff that us newer players really appreciate.

awesome tutorial Marty........I saw Def Leppard a couple times in their prime. The high and dry tour in 81 open for Ozzy and the blizzard of ozz. Then in around 83 on the Pyromania tour which they where headlining by then. I believe Krokus opened for them.

Great Lesson! Love that you show the Nuances. Punctuations also about the part of Don't Overplay and get in the parts that sell the song.

Cool lesson Marty! Thank you! When your band starts playing this and you start hitting these riffs you'll see the room light up. The girlie's can't help themselves. Lol 😁🎸👍🏻😂

Hay Marty. For the litle intro rith what fingers on what strings? This lesson wasn't as blind friendly as some of your others.

Index and ring finger for the whole intro riff 🙏🎸

@@Ranch5150SkinWalker Ah thanks friend. The third string right? What frets? I learned the strings by numbers not the note names. So the hi e is 1 and lo E is 6. In the way I learned.
@Ranch5150SkinWalker25 күн бұрын
@ mostly third string some 5th and 4th. C#m position shape

@@Ranch5150SkinWalker Ah so C Major then? Yeah he also said the cords in strange ways in this 1 too. Na just kidding. I mean he said them in ways I don't know. Just to be clear I'm no musician. Lol.

The thing I really dislike about Mutt is the overproduction it takes all the raw stuff out of the tune just my opinion
