This song takes me back to my old school days. when there is a big national event, each of the best schools is gathered to bring a traditional dance that has been choreographed. During recess, then I played this song with a loudspeaker, then I and some friends started doing POGO in the middle of the field, suddenly all the students from other schools started running after us to the center of the field and began to follow our moves, what an unexpected moment I will never forget, including this awesome band.

Desmond Dekker (16 July 1941 - 25 May 2006)[1] was a Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae singer-songwriter and musician. Together with his backing group the Aces (consisting of Wilson James and Easton Barrington Howard), he had one of the earliest international reggae hits with "Israelites" (1968). Other hits include "007 (Shanty Town)" (1967), "It Mek" (1969) and "You Can Get It If You Really Want" (1970).

This video is the ultimate “slice of life” video so popular in the mid 80s to the mid 90s. It’s all the band playing having fun, jostling with the crowds, etc. It’s basically an advertisement for the late boomer? Gen x, early millennial working and middle class suburban white kid dream of being in band. All fun, hanging out and making music with your friends…it’s fascinating this dream transcended genres…punk, metal, whatever. Matter if fact it reminds me of the video for Big City Nights by the Scorpions from 1985..a full decade before this one. Same dream, different decade and genre, but same Commercial for male bonding via a rock band.
