can i ask you if the pid could fit after you buy the machine please? thank you for your answer!!!!

Thanks for making this video. Can you sharing the link to the portafilter? I noticed it seems to be tight fit to get in (possibly due to the longer wings than the original portafilter). Would you still recommend it after using for a long time?

Is it capable of replicating what you would get at a coffee shop at least 90%? Does the flow control make that big of a difference?
@alldayieatlikeashark10 ай бұрын
Absolutely, the Rancilio Silvia PID can come pretty close to coffee shop quality, around 90% or more, if you dial in your grind and settings just right. The flow control is a game-changer, helping you fine-tune your shots for that perfect espresso. It's all about practice and getting to know your machine!

Open it up and adjust the OPV to 6 bars and pull some Turbo shots. Best thing ever

Hey there, started following you after your Steel duo review, I just found a really good deal on a Rancilo Silva and a rocky grinder. Trying to decide if i should pick this up as my first espresso set up while I wait to see if I can find a good black Friday deal on a steel duo which I think ultimately would be a better fit. I was thinking of pairing the duo with a DF 64 but the Rocky is probably good enough to get me started...

Hey! Thanks for following along since the Steel Duo review, that's awesome! It sounds like you're in the middle of making a big decision regarding your first espresso setup. The Rancilio Silvia and Rocky grinder is a classic combo and can definitely make fantastic espresso shots. It's a great choice to get started with, and you can always upgrade later if you find a Black Friday deal on the Steel Duo that suits your preferences better. The DF 64 is a fantastic grinder, but you're right, the Rocky should serve you well as you begin your espresso journey. Whatever you decide, enjoy your coffee adventures! 😄

Do you believe this is better than Profitec Go?
@alldayieatlikeashark Жыл бұрын
Both machines are great, but it depends on your preferences. Silvia PID is reliable with a classic design. Profitec Go offers more advanced features and a dual boiler. Both make excellent espresso!

Go is not a dual boiler

Its popular to this day because these other companies cant get their quality control in order, Lelit, Profitec, Gaggia horrible quality, buttons falling off, plating falling off etc. Silvia stayed the same for 25 years and never dissapointed anyone

If you were to purchase a machine at the same price point in 2024 with flow control, what machines world you look at
@alldayieatlikeashark7 ай бұрын
If you're looking for flow control at a similar price point in 2024, machines like the Breville Bambino Plus or the Gaggia Classic Pro with a Flow Control Mod could be worth exploring! Both offer great features for espresso enthusiasts.
