The Bolland material was reprinted from the UK monster magazine House of Hammer/Halls of Horror. Eclipse also reprinted some of John Bolton's beautiful work from the same source, and Bolton's HoH Father Shandor stories were also recycled in Warrior Magazine.

RONIN would be a cool deep dive. All this stuff is cool. A few things that come to my mind as interesting deep dives would be LONE WOLF AND CUB, WHAT THE?, and HOWARD THE DUCK.

Generation Next was my favorite Age of Apocalypse series. That Bachalo art was incredible. That one was written by Lobdell too but it felt a little more self-contained and is the only one I remember story points from all these years later. I was a big Chamber fan.

Toth enjoyed working with Austin and even gave them the team name A.T.T.A. Boy Productions. Had he done more work for DC after their second story I think he would have liked to continue the collaboration. The Toth issue of Alter Ego includes an article by Austin with lots of details.

Miller's Ronin and a piece on Bolland are my two picks. I hit my early comic stride reading Ronin back in the 80's and it's one of my favorite comic series ever, amazing stylistic art...and it doesn't get much better than Bolland's Dredd. I devoured those Eagle comics floppies as they came out and was super bummed when that first issue showed up with no Bolland...I don't think I've read a JD comic since.

Mike Grell should have a highlight episode dedicated to him. An unsung artist with his classic work for both DC and Marvel. His Hunters Moon story really revolutionized the Green Arrow character into what we know as today. Also his amazing character Jon Sable is definitely an enjoyable read. Or who could forget his work in the classic DC comic Warlord. And since the MCU movie which will be coming out in the next few months Shang Chi the Master of Kung Fu, which Grell worked on in the early days. This man was a prolific artist whose work has inspired quite a few artists today. And as an aside to 90s unsung and gone too soon artist can we get some love and an episode dedicated to the works of one Michael Turner who did an amazing job on Witchblade and Fathom, respectively. Make it happen Kayfabe...and in the words of the great one...Excelsior!

You should do a THUNDER Agents episode. THUNDER Agents is the closest we'll get to answering the question "what would Image Comics be like if it happened in the 1960s?" You have some of the biggest artists at the time (Wood, Kane, Ditko) doing their own characters. The characters have amazing designs but the stories aren't quite there. Also, every issue has five or so stories per issue, all with different characters and artists. Wally Wood created this female villain called The Iron Maiden, and she is basically an Image Comics character from the 1960s.

Liam Sharp overview would be excellent; that Green Lantern series he did with Morrison is my fav GL series, hands down. It's weird and beautiful. He just finished a Kickstarter project teaming with Jack Katz that's getting a bunch of Katz' unpublished and "lost" works printed in a HC book for the first time, which looks excellent and he's starting a new Batman/Killer Croc limited series with Garth Ennis.

Paul Grist's Kane would be amazing to look at - especially issues beyond the first trade where his story telling and panel and page composition really got bold and experimental. Im probably late at commenting, but Brian Bolland's BLACK BOOK are reprints of Hammer movie adaptations Bolland did for HAMMER HALL OF HORROR magazine. This was really cool! I do wish that you would've opened and paged through a few more of the books you showed but I think I can understand why you didn't or at least why you focused more on the books that you did. Galactus The Origin was, I'm pretty sure, a mash-up issue John Byrne put together. So it has Kirby and Byrne work put together to tell Galactus' story all in one place. John Byrne kind of working as a production hack to Jack Kirby. And uncredited, I think. Was during Byrne's FF run.
