Randy Hansen Band Vienna 07/11/2016. First time I've seen them playing this song anywhere....beautiful song! It was worth the flight from Edinburgh to Vienna to see this great band!!

Andrew Snowden that’s great ! He did tour here in Australia last year October I had tickets but I had to do a major gig, unfortunately I missed out, I gave the tickets to my friends, I’m hoping he comes out here again so I can get an idea of what Jimi Hendrix may have sounded like live, it would be unreal !!!

Mark Wooly That's a shame you missed it! There was only about 50 people at Vienna gig. It was insane! I had whole balcony area to myself to film. I was so nervous that I'd flown to Vienna for gig to be cancelled. My wish is to see them playing Machine Gun. Next year is Electric Ladyland tour...probably my favourite album of all time. If they play Electric Maryland and Machine Gun I'll be over the fecking moon!!

I can’t get over how well Randy can do songs like this and the whole of “1983 A merman I should turn to be”, things that Jimi only did in the studio. I would rather listen to Randy than SRV or any of the others when it comes to re-living Hendrix. Poor Jimi would have been 78 years old now if he’d lived, but I think he would appreciate Nr Hansen’s tributes.

Hansen is so good like soul of Jimmy would play through him, because Jimmy died do soon God himself out of mercy gave us Hansen,but people do not deserve this gift cause Hansen shouldbe recognised more and treated better,hugely underrated unfortunately, he was chosen by Divine to play Jimmy ! Did you knew that this dude contributed music for soundtrack for movie Apocalypse Now ?? Its all on wikipedia, remarkable musician, he truly is channeling Jimmy no joke !

of all of the cry of love albums songs, this is my fav.. jimi's the shit!!. thank you Mr Hendrix..This is a great rendition. WHeRe would we even be without Jimi's Incredible almost super human- at like late 20's of his life-Incredibly Kick-Ass, Superdeedooper Guitar playing ??????? Are u kiddin me this is like having toast for the first time as opposed to just bread. This is a whole new ballgame ...That has yet to even begin to be conquered or made better. It stands, (his works of Music and recording and Playing his main instrument, his voice. Finding it. ((You know like actually working ,,,,like u know actual work like artists do who are very serious ,,,,almost posessed.... that stuff. This isnt a pay off thing its a lets see how far i can go type of thing. Not sure we see a lot of this anymore, this isnt ur neighbor who gigs every friday and saturday whos real job is using his engineering degree as his real job. performing and writing music is your job this is the job money or not music is your living. Jimi's that guy ..music is his job.. JIMI"s peer group are like Chopin and Debussy , he's Babe Ruth and Mark Mcguire. and hrs also like Napoleon and Stalin and Lincoln. Such a delicate and multi-tracked tune. randy really captured the spirt and tones until...2:45? Still. bloody great. He was with Uli on the Spirit Of Hendrix tribute in 91.' Randy captured the rawer stuff of Jimi like Voodoo Child (Slight Return) and Uli the latter part of Jimi's career, New Rising Sun, Angel, etc. Love to hear Uli do this w/his 2 guitarists filling out all of the layering. After all it is a studio track. If Jimi lived maybe he would've come up with a different version for his live shows. Thanks for the post!
