This has to be the most talented musicians on this planet. Hendrix never even played this song live and its not a joke. This is far more than a cover folks, its more of a extension of what Jimi was doing. Randy is one of the greatest guitarist on this planet bar none. The difficulty of what he is doing is EXTREME. I have played guitar for years and consider myself quite good, but this is something else completely. The level of musicianship by all of the members is simply unparalled. I hope others appreciate this level of expertise as much as i do.

I strongly agree,my man. Freedom ensued. Randy did get a "Oscar" for the movie soundtrack of "Apocalypse Now"....he is song. At some point he realized Jimi was was all about going some place colorful ,sound scapes,dandy fashion style,this is not hippie music,to me me it feels like a decadent voodoo shamans idealogy becoming medicine for our tried souls... Dr. Randy Hansen pH.D,in loud proud groovy soul music,don't get started. I take my leave now. ☮️

Randy is absolutely the best impersonator of a performer anywhere ever! From what I've researched about him he has been doing Hendrix since 1975! I have an old Guitar Player magazine where Eddie Van Halen Raves about Randy's playing which is a very tall compliment! I guess they were also friends back in the 70s!

Growing up, I had the Import Smash Hits album and this track was played over and over through my Koss Pro AAA headphones. Love it. The main wah wah riff was used in Hulk Hogan’s NWO entrance theme, along with other Hendrix riffs. The NWO theme would be a perfect track for The RHB to play, at least in the States. I love all the vids you post, keep them coming.

How was I not aware of this dude? Totally freaking cool. He is a ringer for Hendrix! The mannerisms, the guitar technique, the voice.... This isnt like a run of the mill Elvis impersonator thing (Andy Kauffman did Elvis LOL Jim Carrey impersonated Kauffman inpersonating Elvis LOL This dude has an almost identical Hendrix aura around him, and his fingers and voice are practically clones. There was only one Jimi, but there is also only one Randy, and it apoears he has been carrying on the legacy in a professional, passionate manner. The band sounds pretty good too! Keep up the great work. Come to Pittsburgh next year, I guarantee I could round up at least 100 people who would love this. Im sure you probably have heard that one plenty of times though.😶 At any rate, for what its worth, I think that was awesome.

@KevinTambling3 жыл бұрын
When you listen to enough of hendrix's actual live recordings, you could appreciate how raw and unrefined some of them are. Randy has managed to take Hendrix's music and refine it, taking advantage of today's technology, guitar technicians and excellent bandmates. Not to mention decades more exposure to the music than Jimi Hendrix had himself.
