Hey Ed...i am a big fan of Randy! Road Atlanta used to host the SCCA Valvoline Runoffs...which was the biggest race of the year for sports car racing. 24 different classes (everything from showroom stock to open wheel formula cars) would compete in a 18 lap sprint race. Thats where i saw Randy run...and i remember him because he was that good. Followed him through the ranks as he raced in IMSA as well. Phenomenal driver! Thanks for getting him on the channel!

Last year Mr. Pobst was invited to come out west and hang with amateur racers at the Lucky Dog Racing event at The Ridge (Shelton Washington). Lucky Dog is a west-coast series that spun off Chump Car which, in turn, evolved from 24 Hours of Lemons. It is more serious racing and less goofing around than Lemons. Low and behold he showed up for some seat time. I thought it quite cool that a professional racer with celebrity status would spend his weekend with amateur enthusiasts driving their Craigslist-sourced cars. Hope you enjoyed it, Randy. Woah never new Randy Pobst lived in GA. My buddy actually saw that guy's LaFerrari in Sandy Springs not too long ago. Cool to know he has the whole collection 😯

"The 918 was a sweetheart." That should be its tagline.

Randy, as always it is a pleasure listening to the passion you share for this industry. I one day hope to match your knowledge, and when I do I hope I still get just as excited. Thanks for everything you do.

Randy just breaks down the handling characteristics of a car so well. I’ve never driven anything like the cars he’s talking about but he makes it feel like I’m right there with him in the car. Hell, My wife or daughter could listen to him talk and be fascinated and neither of them have any real interest in cars or handling. Just a joy to listen to.

Randy is a gem. More of this, and less of the chin strapped loser trying to sell me on a luxury watch trading course please.

I remember watching Randy race touring cars in the Speed Channel days. Glad a guy with such experience is such a great storyteller since I bet he has endless tales to tell.

Yes, I remember Speed World Challenge series, him and Michael Galatti in v6TT audis winning lots of races. Good close action, under an hour with no pit strategy in play. Then later he switched to KPAX Volvo's IIRC...
