What can I say that hasn’t already been said. Impressive as always. Was hard enough not having a video last week, I’m glad we got a walk around video. I was a little chagrined to hear it won’t get painted until next year but that’s the business. We were spoiled that you prepped and painted the last car and got at least another month of videos out of it. I equally appreciate your dedication to the build, your insightful explanation of your process, and doing weekly video updates. I also appreciate that you almost always acknowledge every comment. Few do that. Much as I’d like to see more videos, I hope you take a break and enjoy yourself. Cheers!
@SteveMirabelli3 ай бұрын
Thanks. The flip side of my channel not gaining much viewership over the years is that I am still able to interact with anyone who comments. Any more attention and I would not be able to keep up. I had one video get 250,000 views and it took weeks to acknowledge everyone would had questions.

Steve, you truly outdid yourself on this build! Absolutely astonish work and I believe the best part I love about this car is, is that all of it looks like it was born that way. When I see this car, I don’t see a Dodge Challenger, or a 1970 Daytona Charger, I see something that looks purpose built for modern day highway warfare. Congratulations again for your fine work and attention to detail. I wouldn’t be surprised if Vin Diesel contacted you to build something similar for him for an upcoming Fast and Furious movie!

Back when I finished my Daytona in 2017 the folks at the Hot Rodding network wanted to see if Dodge would foot the bill to take the car out to SEMA. When all was said and done they had new management who told them they were putting their promotional money into golf tournaments. I think it's been down hill ever since.

Steve, I have to say that you are a true Master at your trade and I'm sure one would have to be extremely wealthy to make a project like this as I can only guess that just the cost of labor makes this impossible for anyone to justify spending the amount it would take to see this project through. I would guess we are looking at a minimum of $500,000 to get this car complete and that is a low estimate. Whatever you charge for your labor should be much more and with the cost of shipping for parts plus a SEMA level paint job this could exceed a MILLION dollars. anyways, another job well done sir!
@SteveMirabelli3 ай бұрын
Thanks. It was 2,300 hours and I don't charge the prevailing rate but still it wasn't cheap.

Absolutely a work of art!! You do such good work its amazing. I know you said you are planning to get some home stuff done but I would have to believe there is more than one person wanting something like this so I have no doubt there is more projects for you if you still want to do them. Hopefully the car will not become a permanent BJ/Mecum contestant as so many unique cars do.
@SteveMirabelli3 ай бұрын
Well that will be the owners prerogative if he wants to flip it it is up to him. I have had a few people ask me to do things but usually when I tell them what something like this cost the have second thoughts. It is what it is.
@MH-rb7lp3 ай бұрын
I have no doubt that the cost of doing something like that is substantial and that many people don’t realize how much work it takes, and thus how much it costs. Regardless I really enjoyed watching you work and I look forward to seeing more hopefully

Thank you so much Steve again on taking us along for this journey for a beautiful creation! I feel with the way you’ve worked the nose cone that it’s the best I’ve ever seen, better than the original! even though the creators of the Daytona didn’t have styling to work with that the Superbird did,lol. Would you ever consider making another in the next few years? I do recall before you announced this project, that if you made a hellcat Daytona, you would recommend a charger rather than a challenger, would you say otherwise now knowing what you just did? Or would the charger still be a better base for a classic recreated Daytona? I currently have a T/A 392, it’s been cursed after people have hit it while it’s been parked locally, I’m thinking about upgrading that to something very different, or just creating something new, and trading that in knowing the curse lol.
@SteveMirabelli3 ай бұрын
Either car has its advantages and I think the Challenger is probably best for these swaps now mostly because of the work in the dash area. Both have their pluses and minuses. Don't think I will be doing another any time soon.

No words. My favorite build steve. Are all air bags working?
@SteveMirabelli3 ай бұрын
Yes. I removed the curtain airbags as they require laminated side glass to work safely and also a soft headliner to pop out of. Also the passenger airbag because it would have deployed under the windshield base also not safe. The seat sides, belt tensioners and the steering wheel are intact.
