I sang this song a lot in Karaoke and always got a lot of approval. A missionary woman came up to me at a beach bar in San Diego and told me this was one of the most beautiful songs she ever heard. I learned it from a Karaoke version without listening to Randy Travis do it until I ad settled into my way of singing it. Another time a man came up who knew Randy Travis and said that R. would have enjoyed hearing the way I sang it. My love for the song is for the imagery it evokes and the feeling of love that it affirms is ever-present and an "anthem through the years". Indeed, it can make the rocks cry. Silence and quiet lets us hear love best. A heart-beat where once there was no sound. Beating softly ... Angels against the waves and wind. Nice sweet lyrics and images. Thanks.
