I couldn't agree with you more. I will never forget this song when it came out in '79. Except I was the guy who walked out the door in the Kentucky rain and never came back.Porter and Randy Van Warmer! Randy Van Warmer must have been a really good guy in addition to tremendous talent.

Hey Guys.... I'm writing from the mountains of British Columbia Canada and have to say that Randy was ( along with Jim Croce r.i.p ) one of the biggest reason's I'm so involved in music today. I've been playing/singing since I was 10 years old which means I've been going for 40 years lol. Just when I needed you most was there for my first heart ache and so I had to learn this song along with Jim Croce's entire Time in a bottle album... Thank you oh so much for this clip Ron I'm just thankful to be able to watch this. Randy was truly one the "BEST" writers to ever grace the music world and I for one am grateful for him. Cheers to you and along with prayers and wishes...

What to wonderful beautiful souls, both gone now, yet i know there in a far better place, randy, porter and Dolly always had a connection, loved Dollys cover of Randys "just when i need you most", when randy recored his version back in late 70s was and has been one of my favorite songs! Rest in eternal peace Randy and Porter!

Hi Ron, just saw this brilliant clip, I remember the days we lived in Looe Cornwall with great affection. Its brilliant to see Randy had recognised and fulfiled his dreams before sadly leaving us. I eventually took up the guitar and now perform in pubs etc. You Tube. Adrian D Bard. God Bless BAZ

Ron, I am a bit late of an addition to Randy's fan base, but I indeed love his music , I write myself and have for some time, and when I hear a song like "Whatever You Decide" and many, many others of his , I am converted. Thank You......

Randy Stonehill was a great Christian musician. I listened to so much of him in my 20s. Do you know the song Jamie's got the Blues. If not I recommend you check it out.

Hola. Campana de goma Randy Vanwarmer. Pensé que iba a cantar sus clásicos temitas , en onda acústico , y me encuentro con unos cantantes country , cuyos temas -pienso - existan o no , da lo mismo. Huevada fome. Decepcionado totalmente del video . De él , siempre he recomendado , en KZbin : Randy Vanwarmer - Just when I needed you most ( 1979 ) Randy Vanwarmer - Call me ( 1979 ) Randy Vanwarmer - Suzie found a weapon ( 1981 ) Randy Vanwarmer - The things that you dream ( 1983 ) Un abrazo. Saludos desde Chile , Sudamérica.
