Range Day Red Dots: Swampfox Sentinel Sig RomeoZero Shield SMS2

I took my CanikTP9SC 9mm to the range. Used Wheeler Professional Laser Bore Sighter with Magnetic Connection to set up. All bullets were dead on with an open no rest shooting. I like the always on feature of the Swampfox.the Ironsides protective cover over the sight is helpful.

That SAR 9x looked the most consistent from what I saw… Definitely going to look at the Swamp Fox Sentinel for my SAR 9… I’ll get the SAR 9x slide from their website and build on that‼️💯 Awesome video

I just got my Elite SC and it came with the SMS2 . I didn't really want the SMS2 but I wanted the gun and the shop would only sell it as a package. I'm not a fan of the Shield at all. The automatic brightness adjustment sucks buttermilk. It's a pain in the ass to dial in. It's for sure going up for sale and I'll replace it with the Holosun 507K, which is A far superior optic. I do own a Sig Romeo Zero and it's a solid red dot. No experience with the Swampfox, but I don't feel like trying another optic.

The 507k would be my choice over either of the other two you're thinking of using.

I have two of the Shield RMSc red dots and sight in at 7 yards on paper tight. The RMSc holds zero and I had a major smash from FedEx that dented the shroud but kept zero. What I don't like about sighting in is there is zero clicks or feedback when adjusting.

Does the RMSc have an aluminum housing? The SMS2 is polymer.

@@OBNXS1 Yes 👍 the RMSc is aluminum and when I packed the FedEx box to go to a manufacturer I didn't need to go through an FFL. My Browning HI Power needed an adjustment and was going back to MK3 Firearms. I had it in 3 cardboard boxes. It was pinched so hard from red dot to grip it didn't effect the box but bent the shroud 3/16th inch but the lens was also OK. They didn't notice the bent shroud because the glass was OK and the view from the shooter was OK. They took photos. It is bent as hell but doesn't show up well in photos. Lots of back and forth with FedEx but no results. I have a second RMSc on my Bul Armory SAS2 Viper and the guy I bought it from is an instructor and said Trijicon will die before a RMSc will die.

IIRC the Sentinel wasn’t demonstrably taller than the SMS2 and would co-witness. It’s been quite awhile since I did this video though and I’ve since put the SMS2 back on the Canik.

I look at video to obtain information on products. There was zero useful information in this video. Just a video of a guy shooting all three red dots which two of were not even dialed in. If you like to watch people shoot then this video is ok but otherwise it’s not worth watching. I have to give this one a thumbs down, sorry dude !
