It annoys me because it’s not that the concept was bad, but it was poorly executed and so soon. They could have built their concept up. Why would they spend time pre debut establishing the school good concept if they were going to drop it after 2 years? They had such potential. They should have had a concept change naturally… like Gfriend or Twice or WJSN did, evolve their music not jump the gun. Feel like this is gonna kill their popularity. Again, it’s not that their latest comeback sucked but it was no cohesive at all and disappointing compared to it’s rushed beginning

My two favourite 4th gen groups: IVE: speaking facts on IVE like for real the only problem I have is that they don't have mini album, their bsides are a 10/10 take it is immaculate, gurl that song is so alluring, attractive and seductive, like fr everytime i hear Take It i always felt like im being seduced, and for royal cmn' the bridge ugh liz and yujin on that bridge is my passage way to heaven, always find myself listening to royal just because of that godly bridge, beside their bsides, eleven and love dive, do I even need an explanation, they are both alluring, unique and very beautiful, amazing discography no skip, just wish they'll release mini albums or full even...hands down one of the best 4th gen groups and they're even rookies still a 5 month old group slaying in short period of time, i hope their streak will continue.... STAYC: girlies are superior, their albums are no skip, i like 80% of their bsides but mostly on their recent album, same same, 247, youngluv, i want u baby, butterfly are amazing, high respects for stayc who carried their own asses to what they are now...

When somebody says 4th Gen Girlgroup, GIDLE really comes in my mind first. All groups are talented in 4th Gen but GIDLE always serves. They are the most diverse, versatile, talented and impressive girlgroup for me. They are all veryyyy beautiful. Very unique vocals, good stage presence, self producing (Queen Soyeon herself), chill dancing, outstanding raps, unmatched concepts and versatility is insane. GIDLE is in their own league in 4th gen. Billlie is the Underdog of 2022 Rookies. They're the only group without IZ*ONE members or are not from Big 3 but they are rising. They've been consistent on Melon till now and they reached 80K sales for their second album. Tsuki's Japanese fanbase is also to watch out for. I can't wait for their next comeback!

an unpopular opinion i have about Kep1er & billlie is that even though sheon ALMOST made the debut lineup for Kep1er from being one spot away , I think sheon fits WAYY better in billlie than she would have in Kep1er (she still would have slayed). I feel like sheon fits the billlie concept well and shows off her potential in billlie than she would have been in Kep1er. (no hate to sheon, billlie or Kep1er!! :) )

Purple Kiss is really complicated for me. I love them but also was disappointed by 2/3 title tracks so far... I was interested even pre debut but then ponzoña wasn't all that great and skip skip was the only new song on that mini that I saved. I kinda lost interest but then they dropped Zombie which was so fun and the bsides were amazing. I don't dislike a single one and I mean Cast pearls before swine, twinkle and So Why are all such good songs and I was ready to give them another chance. But now I'm once again conflicted because I didn't like their latest comeback with MemeM and the rest of the mini wasn't strong enough to remedy that. I feel like they we're going for aespa's concept there bc aespa is popular rn (MemeM sounds so much like Savage which was so disappointing to me bc the story teasers were incredible). I am not a big fan of aespa (Lucid Dream is the first song since Black Mamba I actually like) so I hope they change up their sound next comeback (very likely). I love the members of Purple Kiss and I hope I can at least enjoy every second comeback...

If you think MemeM sounds like Savage I suggest you listen to Oneus' No Diggity, because I hear the parallels more to Oneus' trap title track than Aespa. I see the comparison between Savage but the empty chorus drop, the second whispering verse, similar bridge and final chorus dance break are much more similar to No Diggity in my opinion.

my list would be: itzy (I seriously love love all their title songs, few bsides, their all concepts, love their latest mvs and always loving their choreos! I don't need to explain more, they're easily my top 1) ive (they only have four songs, and I'm obsessed with all four of them lmao 🤣 I love wonyoung and truly adore liz. this is the only group I had been anticipating(worrying that they might disappoint me) but they didn't. all their songs got me in first listen and still none of them left me. I'm new to the KPop world and I don't wanna fall down this rabbit hole immediately (lol), so I'm still taking my time, but my personal faves so far are: 1. G-Idle: honestly, they have A LOT going on for them; they self-produce, they choreograph, they write lyrics, etc. I love how they're willing to experiment and explore different genres that aren't currently popular, and yet make those their title tracks! A lot of artists are versatile, but these are only reflected in their b-sides, which is a bummer. I love G-Idle's willingness to showcase their versatility in their title tracks themselves. 2. IVE: Honestly, I've tried SO HARD not to like them. I steered away from them, I critiqued them (in my head), and I've just outright left them alone. But time and time again, I keep being drawn back to them! They're that good! But they're only 2nd because I've yet to see them grow and their short time in the industry has left me with little to fangirl over. They all also kinda just blur out to 1 specific face for me, save for the 2 most popular members Wonyoung and their leader. I hope I get to see more of their individuality and capabilities! 3. Itzy: SO ICONIC. That girl crush concept? They literally crushed it. Their songs are a bop and I always find myself reaching out for their songs when i want something to dance to. 4. Kep1er: I really want to place them in the top 3, but like,,, as much as I'm a fan of them, I haven't seen what they have to offer yet. Probably because they're still new, but I don't know who they are musically and what they can do. Wadada was super fun but UP was generic and I'm honestly getting tired of the cutesy scene. Hoping to see more of what they can do!
