Even though I disagree a lot with your lower ranking ones but I like hearing what people who have no nostalgia connected to the movies giving a completely unbiased opinion about what they think of them because most commentators who have done this give the reason "I loved this so much as a kid and I couldn't part with it." rather than actual criticism. It was really refreshing to hear, something that's both respectful to people who grew up with it and take comfort in periodically rewatching the movies but also honest and really funny to watch. It inspires me to make my own personal ranking of all of them, though I couldn't be unbiased. (Barbie And The Three Musketeers was my favorite one and I'm happy your ranking actually did it some justice unlike other videos). Also I agree that the random cannon shift was weird but it was Barbie's way of still somehow remaining relevant in the age of social media. Definitely not my favorite decision that they made because it makes movies from that point onward confusing and limited as to what they could do.

I actually like the inclusion of Barbie's parents. I feel like so often in children's/teen media parents/caregivers are portrayed as either A. Dead , B. Absent , C. Monsters , D. Annoying helicopter parents who stop their kids from any and all life experiences or E. A terrible pick n mix of the above. A big portion of age and growing up is creating your own identity and stepping away from your parents. But having media that tells kids that your caregivers are the enemy and "they don't get it" doesn't help. At best it contributes to the isolation of kids/teens from their families. At worst it puts kids in unsafe situations that they can't get out of because they don't feel like they can come to their caregivers. This is why they made snuffleupagus real - because they didn't want kids to feel deterred in sharing information with the trusted adults in their lives. Now let me make it clear - that doesn't mean caregivers have to be in every children's/teen story nor does it mean that caregivers have to be portrayed as never having any faults. However I think seeing caregivers who are involved and support their kids dreams is good for kids as it shows them "hey your parents/caregivers may not be perfect and you won't always see eye to eye but at the end of the day they love and care about you."

Something I love about barbie movies is how different people's preferences are with them. My favorite movie is Magic of the Pegasus, but I actually don't enjoy Swan Lake as much. I really loved your video!

I’m so happy I grew up with Barbie movies since I don’t see things magical as I was a kid anymore. The Diamond Castle holds a deep place in my heart! I also like Princess and the Pauper, Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Mariposa and Pegasus

YES!! wow. i'm so glad that you didn't aim to please the nostalgia-lovers who usually view these videos. obviously the princess and the pauper should always be at/near the top of any ranking, but i'm glad you ranked the others like rapunzel and the magic of pegasus lower according to your honest opinion. i've seen way too many reviewers be like omg rapunzel was awesome!! 3rd place :) and then they actually review it and i'm like... you really didn't actually like the movie that much, did you. this was a pleasure to watch!

While my sister was going through her first divorce I would watch my niece while my sister was at work. She always wanted to watch the Barbie movies. 'd watch them with her and I was surprised they were better than I thought they'd be. Not cinematic masterpieces, but entertaining

omg! There are 42 Barbie movies?!?! Some of these movies had a huge impact on me as a kid! I am very nostalgic for Princess Charm School, Rapunzel, Princess and the Pauper, Fairytopia, Fairytopia Mermaidia, 12 Dancing Princesses, A Mermaid Tale 1 and 2, Barbie in the Nutcracker, and Swan Lake especially.

barbie starlight adventure has 'shooting star' which is my guilty pleasure song. I am in college now and i watched that movie years ago when it came out with my younger sister and i vividly remember listening to the song and feeling inspired. now its literally a joke with my friends that we are all grown men and genuinely love a barbie song. glad it got placed high.
