I would personally put Zhang Liao in S tier. His move set and weapons fits him so perfectly like you said. I kinda agree tho that his attack range are somewhat short but that just makes me use his standard weapon to compensate the range. As for his character, oh man he was a beast in He Fei. The fact he can drove back an army of 100,000 with only 800 soldiers is insane! Not only he got his own musou mode, he also had solid appearance in Lu Bu's musou mode, making Zhang Liao's character felt more fleshed out and we can see what happened to Zhang Liao if Lu Bu didn't meet his end in Xia Pi. Overall an absolute beast of character both in terms of combat and story and in my opinion he deserves to be ranked in S tier. And also great tier list!

Zhao Yun in 6 is probably the coolest he is in any warriors game ever. His moveset literally a kungfu movie choreograph, I love it. If any of you do not notice, Zhao Yun DW6 moveset is the same as the one they use in DW5 Opening Cutscene. his silver armour also look really good. Zhang Liao turn into double axe is best decision Koei made, he is so fun to play now. Lu Bu armour design into black and red accent also make him look even better, also Koei best design decision.

DW6 is underrated imo, it’s one of my favourites and that has a lot to do with character designs. I would say that for me this was Zhuge Liang’s strongest game. I ADORE his moveset and design. He’s usually depicted a bit too squeaky clean imo and this game challenges that by making him far colder. His design with his hair and costume being less neat is a subtle but effective change.

Amazing tier list. I agree with you about Liu Bei on S cause for me DW6 Liu Bei is one of the best redesigns in the game and he is one of my main besides Zhang Liao, Ma Chao, and Guan Yu, I also agree that Xiahou Dun's redesign has good thing such as his appearance and bad thing that is his weapon.

This is probably West culture appeal/European fantasy lover in me speaking, but... I really loved Zhao Yun's redesign specifically. His silver armour and blue cape gives him such a knightly feel, and him fighting Lu Bu with the latter's demonic presence in his design is something what would fit right into a western RPG, like a paladin on a quest to defeat a demon. And you're absolutely correct on Zhang He and how campy he feels, but at the same time his moveset is lethal, he's like DW version of SF Vega, but with a way more positive interpretation. I think he's a very important character for Wei storyline, because Wei is usually portrayed as this heavyweight, larger - than - life cult of personality of Cao, and folks like Zhang He bring some much - needed colour and elements of fun to Wei's story. For me him and Gan Ning were top characters of the series. And then there's Zhang Liao. Probably my favourite character in 6? His intimidating presence, his harsh but fair attitude, but he felt so tragic to me at the same time for some reason. Maybe it's because he served so unflinchingly to Wei and Cao Cao's ambition, which was doomed, maybe because he felt like what on other circumstances could've been a good man, but ended up serving an unjust cause and committing war crimes in the name of other man's ambition. IDK, something about him fascinates me so much.

why not including the what character skill have because that also part from dynasty warrior 6 ,for example Cao Ren has all element Null which i think overpowered + he got tome which is very useful automatic renbu infinite at beginning each game which is really useful if you play in chaos dificulty (sorry if my english is bad) for consideration about tier list

I belive Gang Ning design based on Ruffio, boy from Peter Pet movie with Robin Willialms. Huang Guy even more look like Mister T and Meng Huo look like one of characters of Virtual Fighter.

Also it would be sick if Liu Bei had a singular sword that splits into 2 with certain attacks. I saw it in the live action 3 kingdoms show and thought yo now that would be a sick weapon for a character.

I remember liking this game too but I hated the renbu stuff, S tier Lu Bu Zhang Fei That's it I did enjoy some of the other characters like Gan ning but he A tier Dw 5 he was an easy S tier oh I really enjoyed Xu Huang he an easy S tier & my favorite character

Cao Pi C? Cmon man. Ling Tong C? Cmon man. They're at least B. Ling Tong and Gan Ning had such important stories for each other. You can't separate them that far. And Cao Pi was badass in the story mode. This game almost felt like this was where Cao Pi debuted. Liu Bei is certainly not S. I like him much more in the previous games. He looks like a fragile kid in this game compared to the previous ones. Ma Chao and Zhang Liao are easily S. Zhou Tai is like the worst he's ever been. He's D or lower.

lmao this was not. Cao pi did much more better in Dynasty warriors 5 and he was cool there. same with Ling Tong. But do remember that this dynasty warriors 6. most of the character were worse. plus Cao Pi's role was confusing. plus Zhen Ji didn't even had anything and that's insane as she is an orginal character

Zhang Yun must be at the top, i simply play this game for him. Guan Yu and zhang fei should be ss top they both can deal with large crowd. Shangxiang is ss top overpower cuz she fill musuo and renbu too easy. Lu bu is not so good in this game cuz he cannot deal large and he lost his iconic moon helberg. Imagine if lu bu got the same moveset as 5.
