De’Aaron and Sabonis need to both be playing if kings want to be a basketball team. But Keegan’s defensive impact and occasional scoring outburst (hoping for more consistency in year 3) and Malik’s playmaking and shot creation are also very important. Keon Ellis could become very important but other than that the roster is pretty bad (except Lyles)

The kings have a LOT of great guys, they just underperformed in the regular season by losing a lot of games they definitely should've won (games like that pistons game they lost). Keegan Murray is great and by advanced stats one of the best wing defenders in the league, Keon Ellis shined a lot in the play-in, obviously Malik Monk who I think is not only the hugest snub this year but genuinely one of the best pure 6th men of all time tbh, then some role players who slot in quite nicely such as Huerter who was hurt, Barnes who could get really hot randomly, Davion was pretty solid for how young he is, Alex Len who is a solid backup center for Sabonis to come in and defend the rim. really sucks they couldnt make the playoffs, if they made it over the lakers i think they couldve had a real chance at upsetting the nugs.

the reason the kings were bad this year is because huerter and barnes have CTE, keegan averages 3.5 less points and shoots 10% worse from 3 in road games, fox shit himself in jan/feb (went from averaging 30 on like 50/40/70 (he cant hit a fucking free throw) to 22 but he was a lot worse than 22 ppg because he still had a couple 35/40 point games but in the other ones scored less than 20). not to mention blowing 7 15+ point leads, losses to the pistons, hornets, wizards, blazers, 0-9 vs pelicans and rockets, monk randomly got the fucking yips and went from a 90% free throw shooter to having a two week stretch of shooting 50% from the ft line
@whatshorts5 ай бұрын

@@whatshorts knowing them probably not but if the asking price for kuzma is barnes + frp + duarte they gotta do it instantly. Their two biggest weaknesses at the moment are barnes and a backup center, so I would hope they drafted yves missi or kelel ware but they will prob trade it or draft mccain. would like if they traded for kuzma/herb jones/grant(for the right price)/kuminga in a 3 team trade with jazz prob/maybe trade for a rockets young player like whitmore since it seems like they have too many young players who all need to develop and they cant give him the minutes he deserves. really dont think they are that far off of being a great team just need to retain monk (i think they will be able to keep him through certain loopholes)

Keegan was just asked to take on more of an offensive role, last year he was pretty much only a spot up 3 point shooter, and this year he was shooting the midrange and driving to the rim more. Unless you’re talking exclusively about his 3pt%, I don’t think Keegan Murray was having a down year. Also the entire team got better at defense.

Well if you're going to call Bam a good free throw shooter then you have to call Luka a good free throw shooter because he's a 79% shooter. Actually it's 78.8 or something like that but it's pretty close to 79. You kind of would expect him to be better at that but he's also quite often has a lower three-point percentage than most people would expect. He takes a lot of tough shots though.
