I have a soft spot for the 3am music, it makes me laugh. I often play animal crossing late at night and sometimes I get so into what I am doing that I don't realize how much time has passed until I hear that tune that sounds like someone just told a bad joke.

I absolutely agree with the 5am music, it’s my favorite. My absolute favorite music in the game is the 9:50-10pm music in Nooks Cranny. I’ll stand in the shop for 10 mins listening until the boys kick me out.

DUDE this reminds me of the time during summer break and I was very young, and I decided to set an alarm so that I would wake up at 5 AM, just to hear the 5 AM animal crossing new horizons track. It was absolutely magical, and I just sat there and vibed to the sound while waiting for the morning to start. I'm never doing that again since I'm a late sleeper now, but that experience was absolutely wild. Recommend it.

8AM is my favorite hourly song, specific in the snow, it was my like first "snowy" song that I eared in the game and what can I say anymore? I freaking love it, its give me the holliday vide, and I mostly play at 8AM anywhere so 8AM is my favorite, with snow or without, but specific with snow

I only like the am music in NH thats probably why my sleep schedule is messed up. The pm music is just too upbeat and aggressive, but I would love to see you rank hourly music from the previous games.

small correction - I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet - but you actually played 12AM twice! once for 1AM and once for 12AM. I only realized because 1AM is one of my favorites, and I was like "hmmm... that's not right!" great video and ranking! happy to see 7AM in A tier where it belongs :)

I feel like 3am music is underrated and true to original animal crossing spirit. Indeed, originally animal crossing is not only meant to be chill and soothing ( like most of the songs here), but also wacky and goofy. Gamecube themes are brilliant bc they all sound so different and rememberable.

I love the 3 am music it's weird yes but it's supposed to be weird 3 am is usually the "devil hour" (in folklore when sh*t goes down eg. ghosts and other supernatural stuff) It's also the time in animal crossing when the aliens appear 👽🛸 It also fits the time perfectly because most people go to sleeo before 3 and wake up after 3 so not a lot of people know about this soundtrack which makes it even spookier in my opinion

I loved this video Ryan! I’ve never seen a video like it and it made me realise that I could actually identify when I play the game most just by listening to the music. My favourites are definitely 5am and 12pm, even though I play the most between 2-6pm. I’ve also realised from this just how the music effects your game play experience. I don’t really enjoy the music during the hours that I play, so I think I’m going to do something about that. What an eye opener👀 Thank you!

5am is easily my fave. I played a lot during that time before work as well. 9pm is the "Oh crap able's sisters' is closed song" so im not so fond of that one. I think if you do this again you could try the event music. Some of those were very enjoyable.

I think it would be interesting to try to rank the music outside of just the hourly music (example, nooks cranny, able sisters, dream suite, etc.) Also, I haven’t seen many people rank the music that plays all day, everyday for the first week of playing. I think it’s actually really underrated.
