Lubhdan is the faerie king of Ulster featured in the 7th century _Echtra Fergusa mac Léite_ ("Adventures of Fergus Mac Leti"), the oldest surviving Irish prose to feature leprechauns. Back when they lived underwater in lakes or the sea, could turn into salmon and were called _Lúchorpáin_ (loock-ur-pan "little bodies") Besides passing references to banshees, this is the sole reference to actual Irish myth in these movies.

I just adore the animations in this. All the disgusting leprechauns and each has a unique design. The jokes and the acting flowed so nicely with the animation and I also like how you matched the shading to the environment too. Didn’t have to do that but it’s such a nice touch. Also the jokes with the leprechauns felt natural like they were really there. Super funny I hope you do more of this kind of thing

Darren Lynn Bousman actually pitched an idea for a sequel set in the Old West, during the California Gold Rush. That sounds like it could've been cool. And Warwick Davis suggested a sequel where he'd portray family members of the Leprechaun, like how Eddie Murphy portrayed his family in Nutty Professor.

The notion that he doesn't kill many people or that he is just there when people die is exactly what makes this movie amazing. See in the beginning you're complaining about how he barely kills anyone or just scratches and bites people. That's the beauty of it. This leprechaun. This force of nature isn't a predictable 6 foot tall blood thirsty killer. He is just a lad after his gold and he won't stop at anything to get it. He messes with these people psychologically and he's having fun while doing it. They dump shotgun shells into this little guy and he just won't go down. It's psychotic and uncanny how it's all a game to him while he mutilates people and occasionally kills them. It gives the same vibe as a clown killer or pennywise. Also he is not inheritanly evil when he comes out of the crate the first thing he does is ask for a light for his old leprechaun's pipe! The whimsical music and his giddiness as he threatenes to make a boot out of Ozzy's ear is cinematic gold!!! Leprechauns historically are believed to be angels or fallen angels that came from heaven after they refused to participate in the war against good and evil. In these movies he's basically a demon. A Demon that kills and psychologyically tortures many around him but actually has personality and will occasionally smoke and drink with his homies, bust some rhymes, and knock some heads out. It's amazing! he's just unpredictable, psychotic and powerful.

Okay if I’m not mistaken for the 4th leprechaun movie when dr. Mittenhead becomes that spider scorpion creature hybrid, and he says “help me, help me” in that very odd high pitch voice, I’m pretty sure that’s actually a reference to the original “the fly” movie from 1958! One of my faves highly suggest that one and if you haven’t already seen the 1986 adaption of it with Jeff goldblum, that one’s a true gooey classic lol

I live for these roger rabbit kind of cartoon + real life things. I want to imagine that Papameat narrates what the lephrechauns are doing before they're even animated so afterward when he realizes that he narrates them 'climbing down' the couch he has to animate all of that and is like 'shit'.

A24 has tons of movies and some of them have nothing to do with horror, people think a24 makes these movies but all they do is produce it. If you want him to rate some a24 movies just make a list of some, the only thing is, there are over 100 movies produced by them. Btw he has definitely seen a lot of them, saying that he’ll enjoy them is dumb (he literally has a group of videos about different a24 movies).

@@derek6350 i know they just are just a production studio and make all types of films and I know he has seen them and I’ve seen those videos. That doesn’t mean he can’t rank all films that A24 has produced that are classified as “horror” I don’t mean all the dramas, action, thrillers and comedy’s by A24 I mean specifically the A24 horror films. Hereditary, midsummar, talk to me, men, lamb, pearl, X, the witch, the monster, saint maud. etc but if he wanted to add something like Ex Machina to it then I wouldn’t complain. They usually produce nothing but bangers. It’s rare for them to release a bad film. That’s mainly what I meant.
