No, eye of Greed, deep pockets and rib of greed - very interesting unlocks. Eye of Greed can be very annoying, but its a money generator anyway. You dont need money for use it. Deep pockets is item, which gives you profit in money from "empty" rooms. Rib of greed can be very useful in mid-game, when you have a lot of money and you need shops.

Glyph of Balance is really strong in Repentance. It was buffed to change room drops as well as champion drops, so it's way more impactful. It's one of the few guarenteed Soul Heart generators now, since it will always top you off when you're low.

I think the locusts are actually really good, specifically war, pestilence, and conquest. The war explosion was changed to be smaller but is still big enough to mess up a couple enemies without you also getting caught in the crossfire

That is true, but if you get a terrible item you can just drop it for a harmless spacebar item - Mr. Boom, Converter or whatever - which aren't hard to come by. So I really think M is incredibly strong and rarely ever gets you stuck with a spacebar item

In defense of Esau Jr: It is the only permanent passive Flight item in the entirety of the Treasure Room pool. That is to say, you activate it once to turn into Esau Jr. and gain his Flight and Damage Up, and then you *put it back where you found it and never touch it again.* You get to stay as Esau Jr. even if you put the item down and never pick it back up, and honestly it's the best possible outcome for using the damn thing.

Esau Jr. can be OP item. I used it a lot of times. You can reroll your build and can get DMG up. If you dont like Esau'build - you need 1 room to recharge. Its a very good item.

Only thing I manage to disagree with significantly is that Sworn Protector and Hungry Soul are Mild items, while they certainly aren't god tier they're still really good, main part of Sworn is that it counts towards both Seraphim and Conjoined while also being an orbital which can drop health if it blocks enough. Hungry soul is just a good room clear item with the only downside is that it scales off of your damage, which is only an issue with soy/almond milk runs

I feel like you Underated Maggy. Eucharist is usually a guaranteed insane run, unless it’s super late. Relic is a fumble proof defensive item that allows sac room abuse, and both the damage and tear aura of purity are insanely powerful DPS buffs that can carry run. I’d argue Bethany has the same amount of mediocre angel items. I feel she’s lukewarm at the very least

I think the biggest disagreement i have here is Tainted Eve being so low. This could just be bais towards the character but lil clot is effectively a mini incubus in a trinket. If you find the gold one somehow that IS twisted pair. Sumptorium has great uses for those runs where you just wanna have 40000 projectoles on screen. To me both of those are god items so i would have put her in mild unlocks at the very least Edit. Not to mention heartbreak has alot of power on the lost too. And in general boosts the power of already good items like magic skin

You know what's funny? Doing a detailed list like this is gonna spark a lot of discussion :D I really enjoyed listening to your thoughts. Since most players aim towards rarely, if ever having Red Hearts i think Brittle Bones - giving you the option to take an automatic +3.0 tears up above the tears cap whenever you want is just broken as fuck, people really do overlook that fact. For Esau Jr - look at it like a reversible reroll + flying. You can turn back and drop the item the very next room if you don't like the reroll. Oh yea: Empty Vessel is probably in my top20 items as well. You rarely want to have red hearts in strong runs anyways since you've got enough power at that point. So that's a god item for me - flying + a chance for a long shield every 20 seconds + almost a free take since it gives 2 black hearts. That's an automatic take here. Those are probably the three items I disagree the most with you. Good luck on your 3rd file journey :)

Honestly Meconium is a heavily underrated trinket, at least early-game. Just think about it - free room wide damage, confusion, and also pretty consistent black heart spawns (which are almost universally useful across all characters). Also, it can replace red poops, which, yknow, can be a deal-breaker if you're in Womb at like one heart left and a very annoying room with red poops, which can lead to actually getting health as well

Metronome isnt that bad. A random item every two rooms is decent, and it ranges from the poop to damocles or soul of eden! Its rng, but not a terrible active I believe it only fails to replicate certain actives that do specific things like void, blank card/rune, placebo and abyss

Blue key is a really good trinket imo. It allows you to open rooms for free, and you get at least two extra rooms per floor to charge your active or to get a random pickup from.

On tainted Eve, you kind of slept on a lot of her unlocks. Sumptorium is really good imo and can easily net you an army of red clots and let you steam roll the early or even late game. They basically just make your build exponentially stronger and most of the time its not too hard to refill your hearts (it also helps you manipulate your health to proc polaroid). The lil clot trinket is also one of the best trinkets in the game with pretty much no downsides. Its basically the found soul trinket, but you don't need to go to the next floor to get it back if it dies, it just comes back in the next room if you're holding the trinket. (Plus even just touching the trinket and dropping it gives you the clot familiar until it dies which can be several floors if not the rest of the run) Strange Key is also extremely helpful for getting other unlocks, so I think its ideal to get it as early as possible so you have the chance to have a much easier time accessing Hush on some of the slower characters, like T. cain, or T. Laz, J + E, or T. Blue Baby.

Only 1 reason: the dopamine hit when you use it in the secret room and find rock bottom. But for real lol I agree it isn't always the best to take, but can be really good most of the time! Imagine if you had any kind of restock machine or reroll, using magic skin maybe 3 or 4 times then rolling it will almost guarantee a broken run.. most of the time lol

It's all about finding that reroll machine in the secret room and win. I really didn't understand magic skin at first too, specially when I didn't know that you have to keep it so magic skin doesn't appear again. But it basically boils down into using it only in secret rooms. Having 6 or more items in the secret rooms is pretty much a run won when you get one of the great ones. But I have to say that I only started using magic skin after getting dead god. So I imagine the secret pool room without spindown, dinfinity, death certificate, mega mush, rockbottom, etc. is pretty garbage. Other good uses are getting Guppy by using it in curse rooms or a way to get a few extra planetariums, but these uses aren't really great compared to the secret room strat.

Lil clot being only mild hurts me, It's basically a trinket incubus. Yes I know it can die but it can also respawn, so it's good tier at least, perhaps even god tier if gulped. Also I don't care what everyone says, TMTRAINER is god item. It radiates pure "F00k it we ball" energy

Ok first of all, I will praise you for the video idea and I am glad you made extra effort with unlock sheets. Good job. Here is some criticism: I feel like some placements were inconsistent and you were not taking all unlocks as whole for character, usually only judging by "oh, this character has this 1 good item, so I rank him higher than a character with in sum average quality items, despite that 1 item being the only good unlock and the rest is dog water." And overall some weird placing in some parts, like Tainted Eve being below Tainted ??? and overrating/underrating of certain items. One additional nitpick: Eden can counts as both boy and girl so referring to them as "her" is just weird, i'd say this is rare case where "they/them" pronounce are indeed justified. But overall cool video, good luck with third save file.

I didn't understand how to use Esau Jr either before one of my more recent runs. If you get it early (I got it as my first item), it is basically a free swap to a character without unlock penalties who has flight and +2 dmg. This made me just stay in that form and never use the item again, gaining flight and dmg but risking my health to be only 3 dark hearts at the beginning. What I basically got was a free curved horn and more, it is really good. If you do get it later, it is always worth it to check what kind of build esau jr gives to you and decide if you want to stick with it. There's really no harm since you can swap back after charging it ONCE. Honestly a pretty good item, I'd put it in good for the potential it has to win you the run.

Just wanted to comment that I think Keeper's Sack is one of the best items in the game. You enter a shop, buy a soul heart, and leave with like +0.7dmg. Better yet if you have cash and restock or some way to buy a lot of things because even if they are shit and you're not gonna use them, you still get a lot of stat ups.

as a lost and tainted lost player, I think dull razor is a really good item. triggering on-hit effects as characters that can't afford to be hit while also not taking damage with a 1 room cooldown (If I remember correctly) is really really strong. Like swallowed penny, fanny pack, piggy bank, and habit are all completely useless on the lost characters without dull razor. That being said, because it only works on 2 characters, I do have to agree that it is kinda shit. 2/34 characters making use out of an item is not a good ratio to have

I feel that one slight issue with the rating of the items is that it doesn’t take the pool you find the items into account, for divorce papers you have it mild, but I’d say it’s at least good since you get a tears up and go up from a boss item.

My only excuse is that Sumptorium isn't always the best depending on the situation and also takes up your active item slot, but its probably hovering between mild and good in my head lol. How is magic skin in god tier? Yes it gives items for the price of a broken heart, jut also prevents picking up any other active items due to it replacing future items if not held. For the lost it's just a random free item wich is the only good thing about it.
