as someone who has left the hood, i think that scene from menace 2 society is one where we aren't supposed to side with odawg. there are a lot of movies like this (fight club, wolf of wallstreet etc) where we can easily miss the point and somehow not side against the main characters just because they're the main characters and they getting it how they live. but i think the point of the scene was pretty clear that the store owners were justified in not trusting odawg from the get go. people like odawg give the entire community a bad wrap and ruin it for everybody.

How would they know that he was dangerous from how he looked? They were watching Cain too, was he dangerous? O Dawg isn't a main character, he's a foil to show how Cain is different in trying to get out of the hood rather than enjoy it's danger like O Dawg

To put it simply, the reason both Odawg and Cain were seen as threats was because Cain was associating himself with Odawg by coming into the store wit him, and if u look at the way Odawg is dressed he is saggin, which is frowned upon modern society, one could call a rebellious act. Cain is dressed more appropriately compared to Odawg in the sense that he doesn't present himself or his styling in a rebellious manner, but because he associates himself with Odawg he also has to take on the same assumptions being made about Odawg. This specific scene in the movie spotlights Odawg for a brief MC run and shows the differences of Odawg and Cain, but also highlighting how even tho Cain isn't about the hood adrenaline associating himself with Odawg singlehandedly (unless the owners were racist then it would be 2 factors) caused him to be seen as also dangerous. It also dragged him into a situation he didn't have any reason to be in or relevance, js more extra problems that could be been avoided if he wasn't wit Odawg. Choose ur friends carefully, not for clout, n hang wit the right team.

I agree with the one loss. I was 16 when my dad was killed, spent a whole year fighting every weekend. Then I came across a seven foot tall Mexican dude, my mouth couldn't stay closed, he whipped my ass. Took a while for me to recover, went into hiding for a bit. You learn something about yourself, either you're gonna be scared for the rest of your life, or you gonna bounce back. I am 51 now with another 20 wins after that loss. Occasionally, I see dude around, we friends now, but in the back of my mind, I want a rematch. Who knows, maybe it will happen.

Not to judge you or anything, but I think it’s best to move on and leave the old life behind. All that fighting solves nothing. Does it provide food for your family? It’s natural to get beaten by someone much bigger than you. Physical strength isn’t everything. I spend my all whole life avoiding fights although I know how to defend myself. Does that make me a coward? Maybe but I finished my education, got a nice job, got money in investments, taking care of family, and so on. The real fight in life is tougher than the fights with fists I believe. But you do you.

Dude I'm a Mexican white boy but not from an american Family, all my family is Mexican and from medium to low income, I would say that I'm a homeboy who really never got to be in the streets mostly because my grandma always cared for me so I don't really know how is to live the thug or street life and even so these lessons really resonated with me, the way yo said you dont have a father but even so are so charismatic, wise and intelligent really resonated as a "I'm who I choose to be" And that's really tough, cause I never came to think about the lifestyles of my friends and even my family and how they grew up, cause I did in the security of my house with my grandma, but others didn't have the same luck. I didn't even see any of these movies and I just barely started my life with my girlfriend, so I didn't really had the opportunity to struggle and work with my own hands until recently and that thought reminded me of one Batman movie (I don't remember which one) in which he pass time with some monks to learn his fighting skills, but one of the characters, a black guy got pissed at Bruce for saying that he is so bitter because of the death of his parents to which he responds something along the lines of "Bohooo, your parents died and is unfortunate, come on dude, that happens daily in the hood but not all appear in the newspaper and have millions of dollars from their parents" Thank you for teaching me some lessons from the funny ones to the more serious ones, I hope to be as good as you are someday and keep going in your channel, really good information are here and in a format that is so funny yet so introspective.

Loved the long form format, it didn't feel like 10 minutes at all. But I would also recommend to not have the fight scene play out for prolonged period and only have the scenes shown if they're directly in context to what you're talking about. As fun as it is to watch the whole scene play out, even watching this on my phone it was very gripping. But KZbin could take the video down or curb your monetisation as it may not fall under "criticism or review" for showing the whole scene, so you could either cut those parts out or speed them up a lot else it could be considered freebooting. Looking forward to seeing more videos like these. Brick.
