@@imshakedownthere are multiple reasons he wouldn’t need to awaken his fruit. Since he was a literal child (like big mom and Whitebeard) he was ridiculously physically strong. He himself claimed that Haki transcends all (he got beaten by a df awakening but I’m not the story writer so I can’t rectify that) meaning Kaido values haki (advanced armament and conqueror’s and probably obvservation) over his devil fruit that allows him to be big and shoot fire. Both of those things are relatively useless when fighting people like Garp, Roger, WB, etc. He was so strong without awakening that he subjugated a country (I know the country is not associated with the WG) which is not hard but he was confident in his own ability to literally just sit there drinking and amassing his army rather than training against strong opponents like the other emperors. He *was* going to fight WB but let’s be real everyone knew he was on his last leg and vulnerable and probably dying anyway at Marineford. I’m also sure that Oda would have mentioned somewhere that the main antagonist of hundreds of chapters was awakened, especially since it was soon after discovering awakenings from Doffy and encountering Katakuri

I agree with all of the characters on here, but I’d make a few minor changes: 1. Kaido (I think he’s on Shank’s level) 2. Luffy (stamina issues in Gear 5) 3. Big Meme (carried by her durability and regen) 4. Zoro (just over Law cause of superior haki) 5. Yamato (awknd zoan endurance, lacks AttackPWR) 6. Law (it’s close I just think he lacks haki) 7. King (ridiculous durability) 8. Kid (able to get one shot by Shanks) 9. Marco (great regen hacks, lacks AttackPWR) 10. Sanji (impressive speed)

Luffy does. Kaido might’ve fought more people than luffy but look at the attacks luffy took compared to kaido’s. U notice luffy took a lot more sufferable attacks and literally died before g5.

Kaido beats Luffy, Luffy got to eat to restock his energy and he was carrying an island. If it require dno energy to do then as Kaido weakened, the island would've still remained on the clouds until unfazed. His devil fruit is not like Doflamingo or the toy girl who activate their ability once and it's performance is set regardless of the user's stamina meaning it is not tied to stamina unlike Kaido's. Also Kaido was getting the upperhand of Luffy once he stopped questioning why Luffy seems like a mix of a paramecia and zoan, it's why Luffy went to throw the Banjgrun in the first place, even trying to hold Kaido in place because if Kaido wanted to (he won't because of his character) he could move out the way of Luffy's final attack. Question, since Kaido had to run a gauntlet, got no breaks or re-ups on energy, exerted energy lifting an island, and started to get the upper hand on Luffy, why not factor that into the calc?

luffy recovered by eating, but he still fought again with kaido, then got "killed" by him, and after luffy got g5, he strated to destroy kaido for a bit, then kaido strated to land attacks on luffy, they were both tired at this point since kaido didn't had time to recover on onigashima for the entire raid, and luffy's gear 5 drains his stamina really quickly, thats why it stopped for a moment (+ tired cuz the fight just before he got g5) , and then they both did their strongest attck to end the fight quickly, and luffy ended up beating kaido beacause bajrangun was to powerfull for kaido. (sorry to respond 6 month after your comment xD)
