I saw Fish live in Montreal in 1997. I spent almost the entire show on stage. Short story, I’m wheelchair bound and two or three songs into the show, he invited his roadies to get me up on stage because he was worried for my safety. One of the best nights of my live.

Saw Pink Floyd, The Wall performed live 1981, black market ticket was DM 200 (concert was sold out in minutes). just wow. Also saw Floyd in 77, Animals/Wish you were here tour, flying pig...

In the 60's I was a huge Bert Jansch fan and I Also loved John Renbourne so when Pentangle came to Melbourne in '71(?) I was so excited, spent 15$ on a ticket and drove 150 miles to the gig. After 20 minutes I walked out in disgust. They had not completed one song, they were falling about on stage starting songs then stopping, all completely stoned. I have forgiven them now but I was pissed off at the time.

I saw George Benson and Stephane Grappelli in '81, Status Quo in '79 '81 and '84, AC/DC and Santana in '81, Johnny Winter in '87, David Bowie in '88, Ray Charles in '86, Sade in '87, Neil Young and Crazy Horse in '87, Steely Dan in 2009 and 2012, Deep Purple in 1998 [got me a plectrum and a song sheet] Robert Plant on his Big Log tour in 1982, Steve Winwood in 2012, Chuck Berry in 1989, George Thorogood and the Destroyers in '86. Frank Zappa got banned from Australia in '82 but I was ready to buy tickets. I missed seeing Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray Vaughan and ZZTop and I'm spewin now coz I had a chance and I had the money.

Pete, I've been wondering for some time now if you were in attendance for any of the recorded DT shows? I've tried to listen and catch the venues but can't ascertain specifically if you were. I'm speaking of the Live Scenes From New York concert, the Score album, and also the Breaking The Fourth Wall experience. I guess the latter wasn't that long ago so maybe you touch on that concert later. I don't want to leave out Live at the Budokan, Live at the Marquee, and Live at Luna Park. But I'm not sure you leave the States to see shows. Anyway, just curious.

Awesome Shows, Rabin was such a great addition to the band, dying to see an album released By ARW version of Yes. Which was promised but yet to happen. Kudos on Running into Mr. Holdsworth, only famous musician I ever ran into was Brad Delp, saw him watching the starting Band at a Club when he was with RTZ, approached him and got him to sign my RTZ T-Shirt. Before they took the stage. Was great like seeing bands in a small venue, more personal that way, beers right at your table, lol.

I don’t know what tickets are like these days in the States, but in the U.K. they’re printed so badly now that you can’t even read them after a couple of years. I’ve got tickets from the 1980s that look as good as new but some from 2015 that are completely illegible.

You did'nt go to the Clash of the Titans in 1991? Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Alice in Chains
@cangong5 жыл бұрын
I did, in L.A.! back then, i already liked 'alternative' heavy rock (soundgarden, voivod, bad brains, jane's addiction, faith no more, mudhoney, etc), but AIC seemed to me a bit fake, like a glam band gone druggie-tough. i saw them a lot that year, as openers for megadeth. however, i must say, they always sounded better than the headliners ha! a few years later i did get into AIC and now love them with Duvall on vox. even saw them like six months ago in Mexico and they were oh so very precise and just spot on. on the other hand, i liked nirvana since 'bleach', but also saw them live in 91 in L.A., headliner was Dinosaur Jr. can't remember the month, but it was a few months before nevermind came out. and to be honest, i did like them, thought they were quite a noisy bunch of punks, but never thought i was witnessing history in the making! Dino were so much better (and even louder, of ocurse). imho, that dat at the 'clash of the titans' thing, AIC and slayer were the better bands, at least sound-wise.
