1. I suggest you watch Captain America Winter Soldier. Really solid movie... I think :D 2. X-men are Marvel but movies are made under FOX, not Disney's Marvel Studios. Disney is in process of buying a big portion of Fox which comes with X-men too. 3. They already announced movies with characters that died in Infinity war so most of the "deaths" are definitely be revived (Spiderman, Black Panther, GOTG...). But probably not all?. And there is a theory that killed characters are trapped in the soul stone. 4. Thanos is also great in how he sees and respects his opponents. 5. Marvel = comic books, Marvel Studios = movies under Disney. 6. Josh Brolin is also the antagonist in Deadpool2. 7. At the end, he came back to Gamora's home planet to rest since his goal has been achieved. 8. Don't worry about the spoilers. Some people are just dumb. Your reviews are great! 9. I think it might be better if the secret Thor ending was unlocked when the game is finished 100% as a reward... Or just have it right after the main ending. 10. I love your podcast! Logan, Deadpool and the X-men in general are for sure based on marvel comics but the movie rights are owned by fox and not marvel themselves, that's why the Avengers and that world never meet the X-men or the fantastic 4. And ofcourse they are going to be revived. These story arcs follow the comics and in the comics, i wont spoil too much, but many of them do come back. It's not in a traditional way though and many stay dead. It will be another heartbreaking movie with harsh decisions. The MCU is not done at all. Believe me, they know what they're doing and have planned these two movies for YEARS, they got this.

Well, ONE God is killed in the first god of war for the ps2, ONE God. He kills again ONE god in God of War 2, in a cutscene at the end. ONE God. In the third, which was the conclusion, sure he does kills a few. But that was the conclusion. Why would you expect them to kill a bunch of the major gods in the first game of this new era? Especially since we already knew this was going to be the first in a few. This is the first game of this new era of God of War, and they killed 3 Gods already, THREE, and Baldur is a pretty significant one. It's not their fault if you don't care or recognize Modi and Magni, perhaps because they are not in the MCU or a focus point of some other major media. So NO, I do not think the expectation to kill Thor and freaking Odin is warranted at all, maybe from someone who only casually played one and then skipped to 3, then I could see how your perception could be distorted, but that is your misinformed perception. The game is not without faults. But to put your misguided expectations as a fault is a bit disingenuous. At least that is what I think on the matter. I don't know, the talk about Thor and Odin was always apparent at least to me that it was a set up for the future games, especially since we never see them, contrary to Baldur, Modi and Magni. But meh, different people interpret differently I suppose. Just so you don't get disappointed again, I wouldn't expect to kill freaking Odin in the second game either, so if I can recommend anything is to keep the expectations in check for the next one. Hell, they might even trow us a curve ball and make this new era, not about killing gods. Kratos has achieve his revenge in the old ones, this is a new chapter in his life so, you never know... Good discussion though and nice topics for the podcast.

Funny thing I walked into captain America winter soldier thinking, oh God this is captain America, it's gonna be so dull. I ended up watching it 3 times, it was that good. And it's the only marvel movie I watched more then once. It actually made me go from outright hating on captain to thinking that he's one of the best characters in the mcu. So you missed out.

I think the downgrade in terms of God killing comes also with changing the genre from a Hack and Slash to a Action Adventure. We don't have the ability to slash through every small enemy, everyone is a danger to you. I think this also contributed to the story and mediates that the world is a lot more tougher for Kratos as he is not familiar with the gods in this realm. Also the nordic gods come from a heavy emphasis on war, which the Vikings certainly had, making them a lot harder to beat than Hermes der Götterbote.

Hi. Just starting watching these Podcasts, and lemme tell you. I usually don't care about podcasts, because i rarely care about the people behind it. But this was a great way of hearing your thoughts in the while i played games or did something else (i was playing Super Metroid). But about God of War: While i also got frustrated about Thor/Odin not appearing,, i think it was wise to make the story more focused on a smaller scale for this one and saving all of that for the inevitable sequels. So i think its going to be: God of War 2: THOR and God of War 3: Odin.

I dont know if someones reading this, but i have a thought to Infinty War2. We know that there will be another Spiderman movie for example, so obviously he will be ressurected, but i think that the newer heroes, that died, will change their places with the old ones. So the og Avengers kinda save the new ones, but die in exchange, which would make sense, cause i dont think that there will be a new Iron man or captain america movie, they had their movies and highpoints, but now they actually are dispensable. So they can die, but it would be (for me) even more sad, then the other deaths.

The rebooted universe that was suggested is very career suicide worthy. It's been proven before that reboots aren't really destined to fail but rather more likely to face it. For now, people will always see Chris Evans as Captain America and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. The only way to secure the future of the MCU is to move on to introducing new characters/superheroes without destroying what was already set in stone.

X-Man is indeed Marvel and in the Comics there have been numerous Crossovers with the Avengers and others. The problem with the Movies is that whilst the Marvel Studios make in General the Marvel Movies, Twentieth Century Fox had already had the Rights to the X-Men Movies so the marvel Studios can not make X-Men Movies thus there won't be Crossovers

How is the end cutscene insulting? Wtf? Just because Thor was mentioned in the game doesnt mean you get to fight him or some shit. The game's length is already big enough for a single player, semi-open world game. In the previous God of War games like the first one, they mentioned Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. 3 major gods and yet they only show up for a brief just to give you powers. Ranton's friend, you're rushing way too much. It's to set up a sequel and cramming everything in one game is too much.

Watching/listening through all the old podcasts and sth they didn’t mention when talking about god of war Spoilers Besides gameplay and storytelling flaws I feel like god of war really is really great at making you care about the main characters and Kratos as a person. They do a lot with small interactions, actions on screen etc. And Kratos always was and probably will be a tragic character and it is done so well. Even the last decision to actually kill baldur and seeing how Freya reacts is a display of relations between parents, kids and how kratos himself goes through hell to do everything he can for his son but takes the decision to kill baldur out of Freyas hands who wanted baldur to kill her to make baldur happy and correct her mistakes. Basically Freya was in a similar position as kratos is with Loki only that kratos doesn’t have a Kratos to make decisions in his place

No :)...they followed the comic book story line ( more or less ) they gonna stick with it trust me. What did Dr/ Strange say at the end when Tony asked him ''why did you do it?'' Dr. Strange said ''we're in the endgame now'' ( we qualified in the finals -sports term ). Going back to over 14 mil possible outcomes and only 1 they defeat Thanos. Dr. Strange said make no mistake between any of you and the stone I will protect the stone no matter what, so then why did he do it? Because that was the only outcome they were going to be victorious ...adn Tony Stark is the KEY to all of this ( going back to Avengers Age of Ultron, Stark is the only one alive while all the Avengers are dead around him ). ;)

Fortnight is popular because its free and there is no age restriction. I hate the game its self and can only see flaws in it. Running around trying to stay in the circle. Having one winner makes this game toxic as fuck. Its just like avengers. In a few months or years when the hype died down it will not be as prased as now. Member pokemon go? That wasnt a good game but super popular. Its just a smart marketing combined with a free thing that all your friends can play. Its a game for poor people or 12 year olds.
