Young Thug has a wide appeal because of his personality he portrays in his songs. I don't think they are lyrically deep or profound at all but he raps about hood rich lifestyle which appeals to a lot people. but he is also really weird (you can't tell me that a guy who sometimes wears women's clothes, refers to his friends as "babe" or "lover", does a shitton of drugs, and carries assault rifles everywhere he goes is not weird) so he also appeals to really weird people who are into rap.
