You know, it’s like Khaled got all the people together for this song (which is literally all he does), then Lil Wayne called and was like: “Yo Khaled! Forget someone here?” “Yea, you kinda had the worst verse in the last song with Justin, Quavo, and Chance, so why don’t you sit this one out buddy?” “But I thought you need the Best Music, and I’m the Best Rapper Alive!” “Do people even say that about you anymore? And don’t you have Tha Carter V to work on? And weren’t you planning on retiring or something? And are you even still relevant anymore?” “Uhhhhhh...” “Anyway, I gotta record this song and creepily hang over my son now, have a nice day!” At least that’s how I imagine it.
@TheNadroj106 жыл бұрын

That's a bit rough man. Wayne has been suffering from addictions and been having to hospital several times. Carter V is nothing but a hoax, even Wayne knows that. But he keeps on trolling about it for desperate attention. An retirement would be the best option imo

Conspiracy theory: I'm the one was the start of a mini competition between quavo, bieber, chance, and lil Wayne, the competition is simple: write the best verse. In round 1( aka I'm the one) lil Wayne came with the weakest verse by far, making the choice easy. Now in round 2, we are only left with quavo, bieber, and chance, and within the next couple years we will get round 3, with only 2 of them left. It is my belief that the winner at the end will be DJ Khaled himself, as round 5 will just be DJ Khaled yelling his name over the mic.

nonono RC this song is totally different. I'm the One came out April 28, 2017, making it a "Spring Banger". This song, however, dropped on July 28, 2018, therefore it is a "Summer Smash". DJ Khaled decides when to put the song out, the most important part of his intricate craft.
@Weirdgirl2136 жыл бұрын

It seems like none of the replies hear listened thoroughly to the album. Every song sounds unique (at least within the album) Carousel used a Beastie Boys Sample, Another song featured Stevie fucking Wonder on harmonica. In a trap song. The features are a mix of artists that are extremely well known to brand new artists we’ve never heard of (Don Toliver) Production on the album comes from a huge mix of people including Frank Dukes and god damn Tame Impala. And Coffee Bean isn’t even a trap song. Skeletons isn’t really either. It’s cool if you don’t like it, but don’t be cynical. To say it isn’t innovative or pushing different ideas into trap music is simply incorrect.

I feel like Drake, Ty Dolla Sign, B.o.B, Fetty Wap (why not?), Snoop Dogg, Travie McCoy And......ok this is a stretch but Akon would’ve been a bit better alternatives. I mean it’s not like they haven’t done a song that’s as mellow as No Brainer. Drake has his RnB songs and Rapped on Moment 4 Life Ty Dolla Sign rapped on Work for Home B.o.B rapped on Nothin in You and it seems like he would fit. Fetty Wap......well Fetty Wap. I’m sure he would be open to do this. Snoop......he did a Big Time Rush Song about being a boyfriend. Need I say more. Who even remembers them? this song sounds like an Akon song if you change it up a bit. Travie McCoy did Stereo Hearts, And that one song with Jason Mraz. He can make it work Now that I’m thinking about it, I think Lil Dicky would’ve done a good job on the song! Although, maybe an extra rewrite of the verses would’ve been fine too
