Fun fact: Eminem's "Killshot" was a reference to the 2008 movie "Killshot" directed by John Madden and filmed in Eminem’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan. For that reason, fan theories have suggested Eminem must have known about the film. The plot features main character whose surname is "Colson" (MGK's real name is Colson Baker) and in the movie, Colson has a hitman sent after her, and is eventually gunned down by a police marshal (Eminem's real name). There's also this line Eminem says "Go to sleep 6 ft deep, I'll give you a B for the effort, but if I was 3 ft 11, you'd look up to me”. Well, 6B311 is a Nordic Flight that had the cast of "Killshot" on it. Wow.

Not Like Us is overrated imo, don't get me wrong, it's one of the funniest diss tracks, but Meet the Grahams was str8 up disrespectful and changed my perspective of Drake not just as a rapper, but as a man, a father and a son. MTG was just character assassination.

Not like us wasn’t meant to be the better song, it was meant to shine light on Drake in a catchier, more accessible way that got people who don’t even care about rap to know about the whole beef. It was meant to be popular, not really well regarded.

All of Kendrick disses were good imo -Not Like Us has catchy bars and was meant for a wider audience -Euphoria was a mix between wide audience and Drake-specific lyrics -Meet the Grahams was a deep down analysis of almost every wrong thing Drake has Done -6:16 in LA was a criptic message than only Drake could understand. You can't say one is better then the other, they are all works of art for there own reasons.

6:16 in LA has not been talked about enough. That song is an onion, layer after layer after layer after layer. From the title references (using Drakes time stamp format, alluding to the day they met in Toronto, etc.) to using Taylor Swift’s main collaborator Jack Antonoff as co-producer to coming full circle to Kendrick’s verse on “Buried Alive Interlude”… it’s quite something. Lowkey, I did like Rap Devil better than Killshot at the time that was happening though 😂 Not that MGK was a better rapper than Eminem, the song was just… more fun I guess? Idk if it matters anymore, MGK did not belong in hip hop, I’m glad he pivoted out, I actually enjoy his music 10x more now. On NYTs Popcast, they discussed MGKs pivot when he did an interview where he talked about dropping an album and realizing that critics weren’t even bother to drag it… they (and no one else) were really checking for it at all 🤷🏻‍♀️ So he went to a genre that he has talent in. I don’t think it was because of Eminem, though Killshot is, lyrically, absolutely savage.

Not really. The problem with female artist around that time is they all beefed with each other. It was always a fucking cat fight with female hip hop artist. It was typical. Now days female artist are making it big cause they are finally gaining some sense to colaborate with each other instead of bitch all the time. They still cat fight now but back in the day the beef was lame cause it was typical. What Nicki said was vague, the way I saw it was she was claiming "who ever is the queen" because of the fact that women artist fight all the time on being the queen. So she was saying in general, who is claiming to be queen. Since Remy was a rare successful artist at the time, she took it personally which was stupid.

Crazy how the rap game has pretty much taken over as the way for people to settle disputes and I’m here for the art because that’s what it is at the end of the day. We’ve come along way from stabbing each other with swords and actually using some creativity and productivity to enable a whole different type of battle which is psychologically based and it allows the general population to be confronted with controversial topics in a artistic way whether or not it is nice or good is still subjective, but I think it’s a pretty strong fact that getting your word out Artistically is just as powerful as using your body or and physical object to embarrass harm or disgrace somebody. I’m thinking of meat the grahams as a good example of this.
